Burger's replacement heavy-duty silicone turbo inlet replaces the narrow and crack-prone factory plastic unit with a higher flowing silicone inlet with billet aluminum fittings. Unlike other inlets, this inlet retains a larger flow straight from intake to turbo for improved boost response and increased turbo efficiency. While beneficial with the factory turbo, this inlet is a must-have with any larger than factory turbo and the perfect complement to the BMS N55 intake systems.

Presenting the perfect addition to our X5M, XM intake system to optimize the flow path all the way to the turbos. Our carbon inlets have a larger volume than the stock inlets by maintaining a larger diameter all the way to the turbos. The stock inlets narrow down immediately after the connection to the intake which creates a restriction especially at higher boost levels. We have alleviated this restriction and also designed the curvature to be as smooth as possible allowing the turbos to function with reduced resistance. Made from prepreg carbon fiber with CNC machined flanges, the inlets also provide an aesthetic improvement to the engine bay. Benefits of the inlets are apparent with tuned vehicles where the boost pressure is higher and therefore the flow demand form the turbos is greater. This is where the larger volume of the carbon inlets help provide that extra flow. The performance gains are produced from providing the turbos with a less resistive flow path which allows them to reach peak boost sooner in the RPM range. When comparing to the stock inlets the differences are clear to see. Where the stock tubes narrow down immediately after the connection to the intakes, our tubes maintain a larger diameter and the reduction to the stock turbos is achieved with an internal radius on the machined flanges. This allows for larger volume whilst maintaining a smooth flow path. One of the drawbacks of the oversized inlets was the more aggressive reduction in size to match the stock turbos which created some flow constraints. Looking to get the most efficient turbocharger operation out of your N54 powered BMW? The best way to do this is to remove all restrictions from the inlet, and charge tract. The factory charge pipe has a very small 1″ opening and a poorly designed Y section that couples the two banks into one before entering the intercooler. This VTT N54 Aluminum outlet gets rid of those restrictions and provides a full 1.5″ from the turbochargers to a smooth Y transition into a 2.5″ outlet to fit most aftermarket intercoolers. Do not be fooled by companies trying to sell you oversized 2″ charge pipes, these are not going to pick up any power, and will kill velocity. The smallest diameter you can run while still providing adequate flow is always best for flow velocity and reducing time to TQ. This outlet is powder-coated black for a durable finish. The outlet is available in V-band connection for Stock, Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 2+, any aftermarket turbo that uses the stock connection (RB, Pure, TTE, ETC. Vargas turbochargers feature a complete redesign of key components, including the compressor housing, bearing housing, and turbine housing. These turbos are specifically engineered to fit in the stock N54 location while offering the flow capacity of much larger units. These extra-strength silicone pipes replace the plastic pipes coming from the turbos to the top-mount intercooler on the M3/M4. Since the stock pipes are plastic there is the potential for cracks and boost leaks which will surely spoil the fun.
