BMW has a knack for maintaining its stake as the benchmark when it comes to performance luxury vehicles, with the F8X generation being no exception. The S55 that powers the 2015–2020 BMW F8X M3, M4, and M2 Competition is dripping with technology, which includes an air-to-water intercooling system as a means of keeping cool. Where BMW’s intercooling system design was enough to help bring this generation of mid-sized M’s to their peak, we here at Mishimoto found some weaknesses that we felt obliged to address, with a power bundle consisting of our full Performance Intercooler Product suite. The Mishimoto 2015–2020 BMW F8X M3/M4 Performance Intercooler Power Pack counters the weaknesses in BMW’s design, starting with the charge pipes. Cracking under pressure or splitting at the seams are common problems with factory plastic charge pipes. These can result in less than ideal situations as you pilot your M3 or M4. We created a brand-new design for the charge pipes that inspire more confidence in handling the boost pressure. Our design features a full aluminum construction with a cast midsection designed specifically to squeeze past the intake. Our charge pipe kit also includes a pair of matte black silicone couplers for a sleek and secure connection to the intercooler. The nondescript silver box is out, and the stylish new Mishimoto Performance Air-to-Water Intercooler is in. With a new look, our design fits perfectly in the M3 and M4’s engine bay, both in terms of installation and aesthetics. The beauty is more than just skin deep. Our improved core design features a bar-and-plate core with a 29% increase in core volume, as well as a unique single-pass coolant flow layout for optimal heat transfer. Combined with our 16% increase in flow through the core, we were able to record a 12°F temperature drop in intake air temperatures while testing our full Power Pack. An air-to-water intercooling system wouldn’t be complete without the heat exchanger. When it came to BMW’s design, it was a solid foundation, but we still saw room to grow, literally. Our full aluminum design added 6” to the height of the core, equating in a 180% increase in external fin surface area and a 60% increase in core volume. With our heat exchanger in the S55’s system, we recorded a 10°F drop in global intercooler coolant temperatures and an average gain of 11 whp and 8 wtq when the full Mishimoto 2015–2020 BMW F8X Performance Intercooler Power Pack was tested on our Stage 1 tuned M3. For added security, we made sure to include our optional steel mesh stone guard with the Mishimoto Performance Heat exchanger to keep all the tubes and fins intact. We also utilized a variable fin pitch on our heat exchanger’s core for optimal cooling on DCT-equipped vehicles. Even though the F8X generation of the M3, M4, and M2 Competition was designed to pull ahead of the rest, there's still much to be desired when it comes to cooling. For a 335i race or competition car, the exhaust is an important area for upgrades. Removing the catalytic converters eliminates a choke point in the exhaust system and will free up power and torque. It also eliminates the cats as a potential failure point - a broken up cat can clog the exhaust and severly damage your motor. These cat-less DP from CP-E are some of the best we have seen. They are made from 304 stainless steel mandrel-bent piping. The flow characteristics of the piping was especially important to maximize the efficiency of the turbos. With less restriction the turbos work more efficiently and last longer.

In this package we also address the shortcomings in the factory intercooler setup. With higher boost comes more heat in the intake air and the factory intercooler does a poor job of cooling that air before it enters the engine. In the Stage 2+ package we offer multiple intercooler upgrades in increasing levels of capacity - Wagner Evo I or Wagner Evo II FMIC. Each is a significant upgrade over the stock 335i FMIC. The Wagner Evo I is our standard FMIC upgrade and fits with the stock piping and requires no modification for fitment. The Wagner Evo II has greater cooling capacity and silicone piping to the stock intake. Some minor modification to plastic trim pieces is required for installation.

The aFe Dual Cone intake and Cobb Accessport programmer complete the Stage 2+ package. The larger surface area of the aFe cone filters allows more air to enter the engine - creating more power and torque, a richer engine sound, and better throttle response. The kit is supplied complete with aFe Pro5R filters, mounting shield, intake tubes, sealing materials, hardware, and install instructions. The torque increase and sound from the open intake from low-mid RPM is sensational.

The Cobb software tool puts multiple tuning stages in the palm of your hand. Our Stage 2+ package lines up with the Cobb Stage 2+ tuning maps for an intake and DP (91 or 93+ octane fuel). Simply download the Stage 2+ race map from the Cobb website, plug it in, and install. Select different maps for other upgrades, throttle settings, octane ratings, valet mode, or revert back to stock! If you're moving among Stages simply download a new file from the Cobb website and update your AccessPort programmer! The AccessPort triples as a diagnostic tester/reader and a data logger. It's the most feature-packed programmer on the market today.

The M5 is the flagship of the marque and as such deserves to showcase the best possible components. The Dinan Carbon Fiber Cold Air intake for the latest generation of M5 holds true to that philosophy and offers arguably the best performing and most efficient sealed intake solution on the market. Quite possibly the most visually impressive as well. The first thing noticed upon gazing upon the engine bay equipped with the Dinan intake is the sheer amount of gloss UV coated 2x2 carbon fiber. Stretching from one end of the engine compartment to the other, courtesy of a fully functional secondary air inlet wishbone, the material is not only beautiful to look at but serves the purpose of heat deflection as well. The wishbone, which mimics the equally impressive calling card of the F8x M3/M4 engine compartment, is purposeful in a different way. Instead of adding structural integrity, the wishbone serves as the conduit for a secondary air source deriving its contents from a central hood scoop located behind the front grilles. The additional air flow supplements the factory inlet locations on both the left and right air boxes with ambient air from outside of the engine compartment. These air boxes have been enlarged and equipped with massive filters to handle this increased volume and together with the rest of the system allow the intake to flow as efficiently as possible. While the stock intake system is adequately suited to support up to stage 1 power levels, that does not mean there is no performance benefit when upgrading to the Dinan system. Besides its amazing appearance, the biggest advantage of the system, by virtue of additional and optimized flow, is the reduction of the pressure depression in the stock system. This equates to the turbo having to work less in order to achieve targeted power. With the turbo working more efficiently this also means lower pre-turbine backpressure, lower turbocharger shaft speeds, lower turbocharger compressor discharge temperatures, and the ability to achieve higher boost pressure levels. Coupled with the optional Dinan Turbo Inlets these effects are even more exacerbated and represent ideal optimum flow and efficiency. Paired with the natural improvement to throttle response, a minor bump to the acoustics, and a visual appeal that will leave anyone speechless the Dinan F90 M5 carbon fiber intake system is a perfect complement to the "best." The aFe intake is made with heat-blocking materials, reducing underhood temperatures and not contributing to heat soak of the air filter. aFe uses an oiled cotton air filter for maximum air flow and excellent filtration. The kit is supplied complete with heat shield, intake tube, sealing materials, hardware, and install instructions.

We can supply this Package with either a Borla or Corsa exhaust system. Both are stainless steel cat-back sections with dual tips. The Borla is a little more mellower sound than the Corsa. The Corsa makes a deep, aggressive burble that is a bit on the loud side but not over-the-top. Both are very light weight with the Borla weighing only 28lbs.

The difference between Stage 2 and Stage 3 is that the software we supply is also tuned for the M3 camshaft upgrade. Adding the stock cams from the S50 and S52 M3 engine is a big wake-up call on the 325i motor. You can expect big power gains in the top end. The M3 cams are a perfect blend of power and driveability - you lose almost nothing in low-end torque.

Our TMS Performance Chips include specific tuning for each part of the Package. The chip is the safest and easiest way to get big power from your engine. Our chips require premium fuel (91 or higher) and allow us to alter the settings on the engine management. Because we can be more aggressive in our tuning, we can get a lot of horsepower for very little money.

At Turner, all our Carbon Fiber Intake Systems are top-of-the-line custom-engineered products that we develop in house. Our G8x Intake is no exception. Turner Carbon Fiber Intakes start with a 3D scan of the factory intake and engine bay. Our engineers use these 3D images of the chassis to design the intake in SolidWorks modeling software. Using a Flow Bench, our Intake is then airflow tested against the factory intake, to ensure optimal airflow improvement against stock. The final product is a beautiful and functional Carbon Fiber Intake, CAD designed for perfect integration with the OEM inlet ducting and stock mounting locations and proven to flow better than factory.

Our G8x carbon fiber airbox sport entirely carbon fiber construction, with a removable carbon fiber lid for easy air filter access. Our enclosed carbon fiber intake systems are also proven to lower intake temps vs. open filter intakes. Plus, they further enhance the appearance of the engine bay, by adding more beautiful carbon fiber. The carbon airbox and lid is manufactured using 2X2 twill weave carbon fiber and protected with a gloss finish clear coat for UV resistance. The Best part? The airbox mount in the stock location with all supplied hardware included.

The oval intake tube design matches the OE look, allowing the intake to be used with the factory structural brackets that the intake goes through. However, the cross-sectional area of the Turner Carbon Fiber intake tube is greater than the stock intake tube, with a smooth interior for even better flow. The carbon intake tube is manufactured using 2X2 twill weave carbon fiber, and the intake tube is protected by a gloss finish clear coat for UV protection.

With the oval design of the intake tube, the custom air filter had to be designed for this intake system. The air filter is specially designed to seal against the carbon fiber airbox, eliminating any opening for hot air to enter the airbox! We created a conical hi-flow reusable air filter; featuring 8 ply oiled cotton gauze construction to maximize filtration efficiency. This filter features a Bellmouth (velocity stack) filter flange inlet to reduce turbulence in order to maximize flow.

Overall, the less restrictive intake design allows for more flow to the engine. The Drivers side Stock intake flows 336.2 CFM @ -15 inH20. The Drivers side Turner intake flows 374.3 CFM @ -15 inH20. This is about a 12% increase over stock The Passenger side stock intake flows 274.2 CFM @ -15 inH20.The Passenger side Turner intake flows 296.3 CFM @ -15 inH20. This is about an 8% increase over stock. Flows over 10% more air than factory intake system!

More power = more heat. It's easy to make more power one time but to continue making that power consistently requires careful planning and design. With the additional boost the air entering the engine is also warmer, making the intercooler more important than ever. In testing, the stock BMW intercooler was quickly overwhelmed and cannot keep the intake air cool enough. The engine computer recognizes that and dials back the boost. A more efficient intercooler will keep boost levels up, delivering consistently higher boost levels. The Stage 1+ package includes a Wagner Evo I plug and play intercooler upgrade. We get great feedback from our customers and technicians about the Wagner FMIC - it's a direct bolt in part using all of the factory piping and it offers 85% more surface area than the factory intercooler.

The aFe Dual Cone intake and Cobb Accessport programmer complete the Stage 1+ package. The larger surface area of the aFe cone filters allows more air to enter the engine - creating more power and torque, a richer engine sound, and better throttle response. The kit is supplied complete with aFe Pro5R filters, mounting shield, intake tubes, sealing materials, hardware, and install instructions. The torque increase and sound from the open intake from low-mid RPM is sensational.

The Cobb software tool puts multiple tuning stages in the palm of your hand. Our Stage 1+ package lines up with the Cobb Stage 1 tuning maps for an intake and FMIC (91 or 93+ octane fuel). Simply download the Stage 1+ map from the Cobb website, plug it in, and install. Select different maps for other upgrades, throttle settings, octane ratings, valet mode, or revert back to stock! If you're moving up in Stages simply download a new file from the Cobb website and update your AccessPort programmer! The AccessPort triples as a diagnostic tester/reader and a data logger. It's the most feature-packed programmer on the market today.

We have taken the guesswork out of choosing the best upgrades for the N54 engine. If you follow the upgrade path we have laid out you will have very satisfying and reliable results. The addition of the larger intercooler makes Stage 1 more enjoyable and won't let you down at the track or dragstrip. * Note that peak power gains are quoted remain the same as Stage 1 but the cooler intake air means there is less of a chance the engine computer will cut power from heatsoak.

Our Stage 1 kit features a cold-air intake kit and performance software for a staggering increase in power and torque on the N54 motor. We offer this package with the aFe Dual Cone Intake (DCI) to open up the breathing. The larger surface area of the filters allows more air to enter the engine - creating more power and torque, a richer engine sound, and better throttle response. The kit is supplied complete with aFe Pro5R filters, mounting shield, intake tubes, sealing materials, hardware, and install instructions. The torque increase from low-mid RPM is sensational.

We have paired the aFe DCI with the Cobb AccessPort performance software. The Cobb software tool puts multiple tuning stages in the palm of your hand. Our Stage 1 Performance Package is aligned with the Cobb Stage 1 tuning maps (91 or 93+ octane fuel). Simply plug it in, select the Stage 1 map with your octane preference, and install. Select different maps for other upgrades, throttle settings, octane ratings, valet mode, or revert back to stock! If you're moving up in Stages simply download a new file from the Cobb website and update your AccessPort programmer! The AccessPort triples as a diagnostic tester/reader and a data logger. It's the most feature-packed programmer on the market today.

We have taken the guesswork out of choosing the best upgrades for the N54 engine. If you follow the upgrade path we have laid out you will have very satisfying and reliable results. This Stage 1 package is a great 'bang for the buck' upgrade - this power kit makes more power and torque at every RPM and makes a fantastic snarling sound every time you dip into the throttle. Note that peak power gains are quoted above but this package has even bigger performance gains in the lower RPM!

The Elite intake kit completely maximizes airflow - drawing in air from grille-mounted ducts for a 'ram-air' effect. Each duct flows through a channel into the airbox where it meets a aFe Pro5R filter designed especially for this application. This is our favorite system for the 335 as it is very well engineered, fits well, and almost looks factory. There are no open filter elements to get loaded with dirt. Full carbon fiber intake to increase flow, performance and aesthetics! Dual inlet design for maximized air flow while retaining the OEM+ fitment.

The most common N55 intake utilizes a short plastic tube and oversized cone filter; it is your job to have better taste than the common N55 owner. This carbon intake changes the whole image of the N55 engine while maintaining a flow of cool air and added induction noise. With a dual inlet design the engine bay retains its functionality while adding a second inlet to provide your engine with improved air flow and sound. To ensure the engine gets the coolest air possible the second inlet is located in the "sweet spot" on the cold side of the engine for the lowest intake air temps and most air flow possible. The cone filter features a bellmouth velocity stack filter that creates the satisfying flutter after letting of the throttle.

Our Turner Carbon Fiber Intakes start with a 3D scan of the factory intake and engine bay. Engineers use the 3D imaging of the chassis to design the intake in SolidWorks modeling software. Using a Flow Bench, the Intake is then airflow tested against the factory intake, to ensure optimal airflow improvement against stock. The final product is a beautiful and functional Carbon Fiber Intake, CAD designed for perfect integration with the OEM inlet ducting and stock mounting locations and proven to flow better than factory.
