INSTALLATION:

Remove Diverter Valve
Place the spacer onto the DV flange r
Re-install your original DV solenoid atop the spacer with the included longer hardware.
The wastegate actuator must be swung out of the way for install. Loosen both screws retaining the wastegate actuator, then remove the one closest to the actuator, allowing the actuator to swing out of the way. This will allow for ease of installation.

It is recommended for any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade and for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as a solution to the many failures that have occurred, where the original rubber diaphragm splits, which causes a loss of boost pressure. Unfortunately the failure doesn’t always result in a check engine light as the valve can still be blown open by the boost pressure, so you may not be aware that you are losing power due to this.

Our alternative is a fully engineered solution offering significantly improved reliability. Our valve is piston based with no diaphragm to fail, and of all aluminium construction. It replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation.

The stock valve on the N55 is prone to failure - the plastic often cracks, causing the valve to stop functioning altogether. 

This Forge valve unit is engineered with a piston, eliminating the diaphragm entirely. Additionally, the Valve is all aluminum - this is the solution to any failures associated with the OEM valve, making your N55 significantly more reliable. This unit retains the OEM ECU controlled valve actuation as well. Includes a plug and play harness that works with the OEM harness.

Turner Motorsport advises being cautious when removing the OEM recirculating valve; if the plastic is cracked, pieces could fall into the turbo upon removal causing serious damage.

Optimize your BMW's performance by adjusting your diverter or blow-off valve using this kit containing four springs with varying strengths. When noticing excessive pressure release or a drop in boost pressure, it's an indicator that a stronger spring might be necessary.

Important Notes:

• Fitting a stronger spring won't increase boost pressure unless there's a pressure loss.
• Installing an excessively strong spring may damage the turbocharger if it restricts the valve's operation.

Valve Spring Color Coding:

• Green: Suitable for 5-15 PSI
• Yellow: Ideal for 15-23 PSI
• Blue: Designed for 23-30 PSI
• Red: Suitable for 30+ PSI

Mini Cooper S Blow Off Valve Kit

MINI R55 to R59 Upgraded Diverter Valve is designed for Peugeot/BMW MINI 1.6 Turbo engines, found in Peugeot 207/307/308 GT Turbo and BMW MINI Cooper S Turbo R56/57 models. This valve is ideal for vehicles with increased boost pressure from an ECU software upgrade and for unmodified vehicles in warmer climates, providing a solution to common failures. This alloy hard pipe fits to the throttle body and incorporates dual high flow Blow off valves. These new valves, fresh from our R&D department are the largest displacement valves that Forge have ever made ! Featuring a 50mm (2”) aluminium pistons so that there are no issues with split diaphragms, we have not found the power handling limits of these valves yet ! The pistons uses heat stabilised viton o-rings and high temperature Mobil 1 grease to ensure a long life with minimal wear and very long service intervals.
