When you’re racing with an M54 and you want to control oil burn, installing an external catch tank is a great way to do it. The stock oil separator allows oil into the intake at sustained high RPM. This causes the intake runners, piping, and throttle body to be contaminated with oil and carbon build up. Excessive carbon build-up on valves, piston crowns, combustion chambers and spark plugs. This also increases the chance of detonation and power loss. Includes all hardware and parts to make installation easy!

AAF's M20 oil level block off plate for the E30 eliminates the OEM oil level sensor. On the M20 there is an oil level sensor on the oil pan that can be deleted in dedicated motorsports cars. This will allow you to remove a small bit of weight by getting rid of the oil level sender and associated wiring which goes all the way up to the overhead panel. By deleting the plug what you are also doing is eliminating another point of failure and clutter in the engine bay.
