In the specific case of BMW, the team at AAF has a particular affinity for building and designing components for BMW race cars. AAF's M20 oil level block off plate for the E30 eliminates the OEM oil level sensor. On the M20 there is an oil level sensor on the oil pan that can be deleted in dedicated motorsports cars. This will allow you to remove a small bit of weight by getting rid of the oil level sender and associated wiring which goes all the way up to the overhead panel. By deleting the plug what you are also doing is eliminating another point of failure and clutter in the engine bay. This oil filter housing cap is constructed from high-quality billet aluminum, complete with a black anodized finish for added corrosion resistance. Designed specifically for the S54, this lid replaces the OE part and accepts the OE o-ring.

This part features two 1/8-27 NPT holes that can be used to incorporate oil temperature and oil pressure sensors. Port plugs are included to block off the ports if they are not being used.

The M50/M52/S50/S52 engines are notorious for their well-documented problems stemming from harmonics. The vibration leads to the oil pump shaft becoming weak, causing it to either break or the oil pump nut to loosen and fall off, resulting in an immediate loss of oil pressure. Worry no more! 5150 has the solution! At the core of this kit is a hardened Chromoly shaft, meticulously centerless ground to guarantee absolute precision. This shaft is designed with an exclusive square key lock system, which not only prevents the gear from ever rotating on the shaft but also reinforces the mounting area, adding additional strength. Furthermore, we replaced the problematic oil pump nut with an extended-length bolt, which is EDM drilled to accommodate safety wire for a secure fit in all conditions. Don't wait until your oil pump fails, leaving you facing expensive engine repairs! Key Features: Centerless ground shaft made from hardened Chromoly. Bolt with EDM drilling, including safety wire.
