GA6HP19Z Automatic Automatic transmissions are reliable, shift smoothly, and can last without issue so long as they are properly maintained. Over time, the transmission fluid becomes thick and the filter becomes contaminated with small metal particles. This can cause excess wear, high transmission operating temperatures, and eventual failure. To prevent this we recommend changing your filter, fluid, and seals to ensure your transmission continues to operate flawlessly. We recommend filter and fluid changes every 50,000 miles. This filter fits GA6HP19Z automatic transmissions. This will NOT fit the GA6L45R transmission. Please check your transmission to ensure it is the correct type. AAF's M20 oil level block off plate for the E30 eliminates the OEM oil level sensor. On the M20 there is an oil level sensor on the oil pan that can be deleted in dedicated motorsports cars. This will allow you to remove a small bit of weight by getting rid of the oil level sender and associated wiring which goes all the way up to the overhead panel. By deleting the plug what you are also doing is eliminating another point of failure and clutter in the engine bay.
