BMWs use an external oil cooler to regulate the temperature of engine oil and prevent a breakdown in viscosity and lubrication characteristics. MMR's Low Temp Oil Thermostat is one of the easiest ways to increase your oil cooling capability. Rated to maintain the oil temps at about 194F (90c) to 230F (110c). Machined from aircraft grade T-6061 aluminum and anodized in MMR's trademark finish for durability. Installation is easy as it fits right into the OEM oil thermostat housing on the N54 and N55. Highly recommended for cars used on the track or with a higher power and torque output than stock.
