Akrapovic Sound Kit for BMW G80 G82 M3 M4 offers BMW owners the ability to control the sound of their Akrapovic exhaust system directly from the cockpit. The Akrapovic Cat-back Titanium exhaust system for the BMW F90 M5 is designed for drivers who demand more power and less weight. In addition to weight reduction and a power gain, one of the tasks of the Akrapovic team was also to make the sound of the M5 become music to ones ears. An optional wireless "dualmode" exhaust flap control allows the vehicle to have a more civilized, but deeper than stock sound at low speed. However, when the exhaust flap is opened the muffler is bypassed, creating a deep and sporty sound much more in keeping with the personality of the car.

The homologated stainless steel aftermarket Evolution exhaust system with an integrated resonator and end muffler is equipped with adjustable tail pipes made of titanium or carbon fiber. The most demanding customers can also upgrade the Evolution exhaust system by using a down pipe with catalyst.
The Akrapovic exhaust system also improves sound characteristic, reduces drone and vibrations and makes driving even more enjoyable. The Evolution system, with the optional down pipe, greatly improves the motor's performance at all revolutions, which is evident from the performance chart. The M2 M Performance exhaust is truly impressive! BMW has designed a performance exhaust system for the F87 M2 that makes the lithe M2 sound like a beast! The stainless M Performance exhaust replaces the stock system from the front pipe back and eliminates the center resonator. The sound transforms in Track Mode and is very aggressive and throaty. The rear muffler incorporates two bypass valves (one on each side) so you can choose between a street mode and open track mode. A Bluetooth remote is included to switch between modes (the standard Comfort-Sport-Sport+ settings will no longer control the exhaust valves). The new Evolution exhaust system consists of newly developed dual-outlet mufflers with exhaust valves, flow-optimized pipes, and a unique cast titanium X-shaped part with resonators. The X-pipe, valves, and flange assembly are produced in our foundry. To top off this work of art, we've got polished titanium and aerospace-grade carbon fiber tail pipes to choose from.
The Evolution system lowers the back pressure and gives the M5 more power and torque through the whole range of rpms. It increases responsiveness. The Evolution system offers an even greater difference in weight, improving the power-to-weight ratio. Gains are achieved without removing the catalytic converters. While developing this system, we especially focused on sound. An M5 with the Evolution system delivers a deep, aggressive roar when driven hard, coaxing bangs out of the unique tail pipes when shifting and going off the throttle. To top it all off, the Evolution system is drone free and works well with the M5's Active Noise Cancellation system - just like the valve system, which is regulated through the M5's settings. Akrapovic doesn't disappoint in the sound and engineering of the F87 M2 Evolution exhaust. True to form, their downpipe-back system sounds exotic and beastly. It's a European supercar sound instead of American muscle. The Akrapovic Evolution exhaust is a straight pipe from the M2 downpipe to the rear muffler - no cats and no resonators to dampen the sound. The rear muffler incorporates two bypass valves to tailor the sound level to your needs. The whole system is made from ultra light weight titanium with carbon fiber tips.
Akrapovic M2 Evolution Exhaust Specs -
The Akrapovic system includes muffler valves for both outlets (the stock system only uses one on the driver side). A valve controller and wiring harness are included to operate both valves from the stock wiring. This allows you to preserve the stock operation of the valves in Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ modes. In addition, Akrapovic has their own optional sound controller that lets you open/close the valves from a key fob or phone app (iOS or Android).
An optional carbon fiber diffuser complements the carbon fiber Akrapovic exhaust tips. Not required for install, the carbon diffuser helps frame the rear exhaust tips and outlets and present a more muscular and athletic appearance.
