From the factory, all BMWs utilize soft rubber or fluid-filled engine mounts. Not only are these mounts prone to degradation, they also allow ample movement of the drivetrain. This translates to looseness in your driveline, commonly associated with missed shifts and a generally isolated feeling.

To improve upon this issue, Black Forest Industries designed these upgraded mounts from the ground up. Their stage one mounts feature a proprietary 65A durometer bushing and bracket/cup design. Maximizing bushing area while minimizing vibration gives this mount the advantage of having the best ride characteristics possible from a urethane mount.

Perfect fit: Utilizing laser-scanning technology permits seamless integration with the factory engine mount arms. Quality tooling: All bosses are matched replicas with stock locations, and all tool clearances and specs are maintained. Heavy-duty construction: The use of billet aluminum instead of cast creates a mount that is dramatically stronger than its factory cast-construction counterpart. Performance design: 65A durometer bushings are geared toward the spirited driving enthusiast who wants better control over motor movement without sacrificing excessive vibrations. Choose BFI Stage 1 for a quality mount that eliminates drivetrain movement without adding excessive NVH.

The factory E9X oil filter housing cap is made of plastic which, by nature of the material, dissipates heat poorly and is prone to failure over repeated heat cycles. By contrast to the OEM unit, our cap is constructed from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum which promises two functional benefits: greater longevity and cooler running throughout its life cycle.

So too will the oil itself benefit: By getting your oil up to temperature quickly, but tangentially evacuating excess heat, the aluminum oil filter housing cap will help your fluid operate within its working range while effectively preventing thermal breakdown.

Each cap has been meticulously manufactured on a DMG Mori 5-Axis with specially sourced tooling to achieve some of the cap's intricate details. Anodized, the housing cap’s details are happily preserved but offer up a valuable way for an enthusiast to express their individuality. Four colors are available at launch to maximize choice: Ferrari Red, Royal Blue, Hard Coat Clear, and Hard Coat Black.
