**The turbo blanket can change color hue due to production batches ** It has not been installed or run prior. The Forge Motorsport FMTUBL4 has been specifically designed for the MINI R55-R61 Cooper S/JCW stock turbo charger. This turbo blanket is designed to isolate the radiant heat produced by the turbocharger. The stock MINI heat shield is inadequate and can result in warping the standard air scoop located in the bonnet. This design has been created to withstand the harshest of environments and proven to withstand temperatures up to 2500 °f of radiant heat which will assist in protecting and prolonging the life of engine components. Design innovation keeps the heat of the exhaust gases contained within the hot side of the turbocharger, away from the cool side and the intake path which helps reduce turbo lag and air intake temperatures resulting in more power. Please note that a turbo blanket will lose its flexibility over the first few heat cycles as the material cures, so once fitted it should not be routinely removed as this can cause damage to the blanket. It can also change color due to heat cycles.

VTT has you covered with our 100% new casting B58 “GC” “GC-MID” and “GC+” turbocharger upgrade. VTT starts by keeping the great design elements of the factory B58 turbo and removing the not-so-great ones such as the small factory inlet area, bearing housing oil structure, thrust bearing, and anything else that could be improved upon. With the basics covered, VTT stepped it up a level adding in proprietary VTT changes and finished off by having all these parts cast to OE quality. What this means for you is serious B58 power made easy; GC’s are a drop-in B58 turbocharger upgrade that supports over 600WHP while maintaining factory spool and all factory connections including oil, water, downpipe, and charge pipe. NOTE: A tune is highly recommended to get the best performance out of this upgrade. Key Design Elements: All new castings with factory restrictions removed.
