Tired of oil leaks from your plastic OEM S65 spark plug tubes? So were we, so we did something about it! VTT Anodized billet 6061 Aluminum S65 spark plug tubes. We took the OEM tubes and redesigned them. Then machined them out of billet 6061, anodized them in black, and added a US-made Viton O-ring with more surface area to ensure a leak-free connection for the life of your S65 that will not break down over time. The 55 series of engines has notoriously had ignition problems with the factory coils, while aftermarket upgrades do exist, they can be bulky. The solution is the BMW B58 ignition coils which are extremely robust and can support well over 1000WHP with no issues. This means a plug-and-play affordable solution that fits like stock, and looks AMAZING doing so! We designed our own 6061-T6 Billet bracket in a plethora of colors including matching shades for every S55/N55 Valve Cover. This means you can mix and match the color of the bracket with coil color, with VC color to truly tailor your engine bay to look exactly how you want it to! The kit comes with the following: 3 – Billet Aluminum Coil Brackets in the color of choice 6 – Plug and play VTT wiring harnesses 6 – Custom VTT stalks to convert the B58 coils to the S55/N55 head (We ensure proper spring length inside the boot for optimal spring-to-plug contact) *NOTE: Flash setting changes may be required when installing the conversion kit to ensure the proper function of the B58 coils with S55/N55 DME. Ignition coils are key to the efficiency and performance of your BMW. With a faulty coil the spark plug is not burning the air/fuel mixture properly and that can lead to problems anywhere in the engine and exhaust (including catalytic converters and O2 sensors). Problems with one or more coils will cause a fault code but not always a check engine light. A misfire code may be related to an ignition coil but could be from other things as well. Sometimes a visual inspection of a coil and coil boot will give an indication of a failure. You can also move coils around to different cylinder banks to see if the misfire code follows a suspect coil.
