Recognized for producing performance saloons, BMW's reputation soared with the establishment of its renowned M Division in the 1970s. A pivotal moment came with the introduction of the E30 M3 in 1986, a model that garnered numerous championship victories in touring car racing. Among the first exhaust systems Scorpion developed was a performance exhaust tailored for the E30 M3. Concurrently, Scorpion introduced the iconic DTM tailpipe to the UK market. Since then, Scorpion has remained a trailblazer in crafting performance exhausts for BMW's M cars and various other models. Available for this application is a T304 stainless steel 70mm high-flow GPF-back exhaust half system equipped with a valve plate for OE valves. The system boasts a high-flow profile and incorporates an acoustic rear silencer to mitigate drone. Once integrated into the BMW, the newly installed free-flowing GPF-back half system enhances the vehicle's power and refines throttle response while reducing overall weight. A notable feature of the system is its deep, throaty soundtrack, complete with crackles and pops when in sport mode. Moreover, it maintains a deep and sporty sound in normal mode without being overly intrusive for daily driving. The system, lighter than the OE counterpart, offers a choice between 114mm polished Daytona or premium quality Carbon Ascari tailpipes. For those seeking further tuning options, a 70mm/2.75” resonated or non-resonated GPF Delete option has been introduced. Crafted from T304 stainless steel using CNC Mandrel bending, this option is tailored for drivers aiming to elevate performance to the next level. The de-restrictive design facilitates increased exhaust gas flow, resulting not only in enhanced performance but also in a deeper, sportier exhaust note.
