Knock down the roadblocks preventing you from performing regular maintenance on your BMW. On the E9x and E8x chassis you run into issues with changing the rear spark plugs and coil packs. A job that should take approximately an hour or so ends up taking significantly longer because you have to remove the cowl and all associated screws. Most of the time the screws end up missing or dropped into your engine bay which can be a headache and you have to order new hardware or deal with the cowl being incorrectly fastened.

Cowl delete filters are a great addition to your E9x or E8x chassis; these filters allow you to get rid of clutter in the engine bay which adds benefits like weight reduction, improved air flow in the engine bay, more room for working on the engine and an overall cleaner engine bay appearance. We all know it is important to keep up on engine maintenance to keep your BMW running at peak performance and prevent larger future issues. Our Turner Motorsport's in-house engineered billet aluminum shift knobs have been carefully designed and tested to bring you one of the highest quality and greatest interior enhancements available. Our shift knobs start out with a piece of billet 6061-T6 aluminum that gets CNC machined for a precision fit and finish. The aluminum components are anodized with an extremely durable and long lasting type II finish. Unlike many others on the market, our Turner shift knob features a groove where the seam of the wrapping insets so there is a smooth appearance and feel. The lower "boot lock" securing nut was carefully designed to provide a clean, OEM style seal between the knob and the shift boot by allowing the boot end to tuck down inside it. Weighing in at a shift smoothing 340g, the knob will enhance the shifting experience and pairs extremely well with Turner's short shift kits to give a full shifter makeover! OEM shift knobs have an average weight of 175g; the substantially heavier weight of Turner's shift knob will smooth out shifts resulting in faster engagement and a much better feel. Up to 179% heavier than your stock knob!

For dozens of years, enthusiasts have critiqued the imprecise and vague feeling of BMW manual transmissions. Plagued with long throws, fore and aft play in gear, and a generally loose feeling, your OEM BMW shifter leaves much to be desired. While most standard carrier-mount short throw shifter kits will aid in reducing throw length and eliminating side-to-side play in gear, some enthusiasts long for a hardcore, race-inspired shifter that completely removes play and excessive throw length. At Turner Motorsport we share the same desire and set out to offer the ULTIMATE upgrade with this Performance Chassis Mount Short Shifter.

WHY UPGRADE?

Factory BMW shifter assemblies are complex by nature. The main component of this assembly is the shift carrier, a cast aluminum piece positioned inside the transmission tunnel that incorporates bushings at both ends for mounting. Like most factory parts, these bushings are designed to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) transmission to the cabin. To the spirited driver, however, these bushings translate to flex and vagueness in the shift lever. Moreover, because this carrier is mounted to both the transmission and the body, the entire shifter assembly will "float" with the driveline, further increasing the vague and imprecise feeling of your shifter.

Our Performance Chassis Mount Short Shifter removes the shift carrier assembly entirely—removing any prospect of flex caused by bushings or driveline movement. By contrast, this chassis mount shifter offers a drastic reduction in shift lever travel, vagueness, and side-to-side play. An elevated base allows for moving the fulcrum point upwards, resulting in a much shorter and more precise throw. Shift times are further reduced by a tall, "rally style" shift lever, used to aid in leverage while also bringing the lever closer to the steering wheel. Our design incorporates a proprietary centering spring design, which is adjustable for increasing or decreasing self-centering force. In short, this design eliminates all the drawbacks of your factory BMW shifter, translating to more control, greater precision, shorter throws, and faster shift times.

The ability to see whats going on with your car is very important when you're running performance upgrades to make sure everything is going well. The newer cars have been reducing the gauges on the cluster and in some cases moving to a digital reading, but in many cases still limits what you can see. 

This vent pod was designed in-house to have an OE look and fitment and give you the ability to add a 45mm gauge for things like Air/Fuel, Oil Temp, Coolant Temp, & Boost Pressure.
