Front strut brace - stressbar, BMW Z3 6-cyl/M-Roadster/M-Coupe 98-6/00 (exc S54). Each Racing Dynamics strut brace was design by professional race car engineers for chassis stiffness and ease of mounting. Each strut brace is designed using our specially designed extrusion for increased stiffness and properties to allow bending of the alloy without crimping at the bends or need to cut and weld multiple pieces (an inherently weaker design). End plates are machined on high speed CNC machining centers for exactness and repeatability ensuring the BMW owner of the finest strut brace available anywhere.

The Dinan G8x Strut Tower Brace provides additional rigidity and sharper handling to the chassis by reducing flex under hard cornering conditions. With more control, spirited driving becomes easier and infinitely more enjoyable. The lightweight brace is designed with maximum function in mind and includes linking structural elements that completely change the OEM 2-piece strut bar set into one blended system that offers additional strengthening against flex. Not one to take a back seat to functionality, aesthetics are also elevated beyond simple steel bars into striking carbon fiber (matte or gloss) with accents that tie in effortlessly into the highly geometric and angular factory engine bay for an OEM+ feel. The imposing carbon fiber brace can be installed in a matter of minutes and used in conjunction with either the stock or Dinan intake systems. While the brace was designed to specifically tie into the latter for a harmoniously balanced and unified appearance the brace can also stand on its own and elicit nearly as equally an impressive visual. Features: Improved chassis rigidity Decreased flex during cornering Lightweight: 5.6 lbs lighter than stock (Dinan CF: 2.8 lbs vs OEM Steel: 8.4 lbs) 2x2 twill carbon fiber with inset aluminum mounting points for increased strength and improved visual appeal Multiple finish options: Available in Gloss or Matte Twill Carbon (Gloss Twill shown) Designed to mesh seamlessly with the Dinan cold air intake creating an aesthetically unified engine bay Bolt-on installation using factory mounting hardware

The Carbon Fiber ECS strut tower bar kit offers more than just good looks - it also serves to protect strut towers from "mushrooming" or other deformation caused by rough roads or vehicles with stiff suspension and helps to triangulate the front end, providing more consistent suspension geometry with less chassis flex. Strut tower plates should sit flush against the strut towers. If this is not the case, your strut towers are to some extent deformed. This can be easily remedied in minor cases with a block of wood and a hammer. Carbon fiber is an excellent addition to any vehicle and offers a very unique look that is found on some of the most exotic vehicles on the road today. This strut bar kit features a clean woven design that is sure to look phenomenal for years to come and will compliment absolutely any engine bay. Don't settle for a boring stainless steel or aluminum strut bar, your BMW deserves the best. Features high gloss carbon fiber bar and black CNC machines tower plates with stainless steel hardware. Not for SULEV M56 engine models.

Original BMW chassis reinforcement developed for the special M3 LTW (Lightweight) model. This tubular-steel part connects the front subframe to the body and gives the car a more solid feel with less flex. Every convertible and Roadster model uses a similar design to address inherent chassis flex in the front of the car. Fits all E36 and Z3 chassis BMWs.

By adding this Genuine BMW Motorsport cross brace, you'll dramatically reduce that flex and movement in the front half of the body on your E36. This is a must-have on any BMW E36 that has an upgraded suspension, larger sway bars, is driven aggressively or sees ANY amount of track time. The Xbrace is a factory BMW Motorsport part, so design and fit are both great and the installation is straight forward and easy. Perhaps best of all is the low price compared to the impact the Motorsport X-brace has on the E36 chassis. If your car is a 1992-1996 model, be sure to select the option below so we include the proper hardware (nutserts) to use during installation (1997-1999 cars don't require them.)

The E36 Motorsport X Brace / Cross Brace fits:
1992-1995 E36 325i, 325is, 325ic
1996-1998 E36 328i, 328is, 328ic

Features: Improved chassis rigidity Decreased flex during cornering Lightweight: 5.6 lbs lighter than stock (Dinan CF: 2.8 lbs vs OEM Steel: 8.4 lbs) 2x2 twill carbon fiber with inset aluminum mounting points for increased strength and improved visual appeal Multiple finish options: Available in Gloss or Matte Twill Carbon (Matte Twill shown) Designed to mesh seamlessly with the Dinan cold air intake creating an aesthetically unified engine bay Bolt-on installation using factory mounting hardware

This carbon fiber strut brace uses a flat-oval design with a hinge-less mounting system that makes this one of the best strut braces on the market (especially at the price!). Cornering forces can put stress on the chassis, especially when used with stickier tires and stiffer suspensions.Strut braces help to reduce chassis flex by tying the two strut towers together. This design is stronger than most strut braces that use a hinge on the end that allows additonal flex. This design has fixed end mounts that the strut bar is bolted to. The slim oval tube is 100% carbon fiber for excellent strength and rigidty. The entire assembly is less than 5lbs and installs in minutes.

Fitment note: the end plates on this brace are closed. Some aftermarket front struts have an extra tall strut pin that will interfere with this brace.
