BMW E31 Fuel Pump - E31 840i, 840Ci, and 850Ci is a high-quality, complete fuel pump assembly designed for the BMW E31 models with V8 M60 and M62 engines (1994-1999) and V12 M73 engines (1995-1999). This assembly, located under the passenger rear seat, features a redesigned top rubber seal and addresses critical issues found in the original BMW pump design, ensuring reliable performance and longevity.
A major flaw in the original assembly was the tendency for fuel leakage at the parting line due to thermal expansion and contraction. The redesigned top cap is made from stronger materials, effectively preventing cracks and leaks, providing a more durable solution. Additionally, the original brittle plastic fuel lines have been replaced with high-pressure fuel-resistant PTFE lines, improving resistance to modern ethanol-based fuels and eliminating common issues such as rough idling and decreased power.
The new design incorporates military-grade 600V PTFE insulated wiring that provides superior protection against fuel exposure and electrical shorts. The upgraded fuel pump motors, now with carbon commutators, offer enhanced performance, are quieter, and last three times longer than the original copper commutator motors. The new pump motors offer an increased flow rate of 150 LPH, providing improved fuel delivery while maintaining factory-standard 3.5 BAR pressure.
The fuel level sensor has also been improved with more precise and durable components to ensure accurate readings over the long term.
BMW E31 Fresh Air Center Grille (AC Vent) is a modern upgrade for the deteriorating center AC vents found in many BMW E31 models. The original vents, suffering from sun and heat damage over the years, often become brittle, cracked, and unsightly. V12throttle Corp’s newly redesigned and upgraded center vent offers a high-quality replacement, ensuring long-lasting durability and ease of installation.
The redesigned vent features a reinforced front face and holding tabs to prevent cracking, with new tabs that securely hold the vent in place without causing damage when removed. The updated face surface perfectly matches the surrounding trim, providing a seamless look. This vent now features integrated LED lighting, providing bright and efficient illumination, which replaces the faint and dim factory light strip. Additionally, the new potentiometer for air stratification is built directly into the vent, making the installation fully plug-and-play with no parts needing to be transferred from the old vent. Made from precision injection-molded plastic and featuring a high-grade steel center adjustment fin, this vent is built to last and is free of 3D printed parts.
