Certain alternators necessitate the use of a splined wrench to secure the alternator in place, with the splined end providing a firm grip for turning. This specialized tool enables you to effortlessly grasp and remove the alternator without the need for additional tools during the process.

Features:

1/2" drive
T50 Torx bit end locks the alternator in place while the splined sleeve goes into the pulley for a strong grip that allows you to turn it.
Services 1998-present day Mercedes-Benz, including 606 (W210), 648 (W211, W164), 642 (W211, W164), as well as Mercedes E300 (1996-1999)
T50 Torx bit can also be used on engines such as the M57 but will need another piece, such as a pass-through socket, to hold the alternator in those engines. See ES#4743294
