Modern emission regulations require a closed PCV/Breather system for cleaner operation. The engine crankcase breather hose is a vital part of the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system, responsible for directing pressurized air from the engine crankcase to the air/oil separator, also known as the PCV valve.
