BMW makes their cylinder heads from aluminum. While this is beneficial for many reason, they do not react well to overheating. Especially prevalent on older BMW engines, and over-temp situation has been known to cause the head to warp. Turner Motorsport carries Genuine BMW replacement heads and parts to make your next rebuild a success.
A common issue on N54 motors is cam bearing ledges scoring due to lack of lubrication, and if left unattended can cause damage to the camshafts and increase oil consumption. These WPC-treated cam bearing ledges help prevent lubrication issues to ensure no scoring occurs on the bearing ledge or camshaft. What is WPC, you ask? WPC is a surface treatment that reduces friction and adds strength - two improvements that benefit internal engine components. Ultra-fine particles are fired at the surface at very high speeds, like shot-peening - but much, much smaller. The parts come out smoother and stronger due to thermal discharge. The two largest enemies of any high-performance engine are heat and friction - and WPC has found a way to reduce both.

Stock replacement hydraulic valve lifter for the M52, M54 and S50 S52 engines. These lifter buckets can last 150,000+ miles but then they no longer fit on the valve stem correctly and a ticking or knocking noise can result. If the lifter is no longer seated correctly, it can lead to the valve not opening correctly. Replacement is straight-forward but requires special tools for working with the camshafts. This item fits the following BMWs: 1995-1998 E36 BMW 323is 323ic 328i 328is 328ic M3 1997-2003 E39 BMW 525i 528i 530i M5 1999-2005 E46 BMW 323i 323ci 325i 325ci 325xi 328i 328ci 330i 330ci 330xi 2004-2005 E60 BMW 525i 530i 2004-2005 E83 BMW X3 2.5i X3 3.0i 2000-2006 E53 BMW X5 3.0i 1996-2002 E36/7 BMW Z3 2.3 Z3 2.5i Z3 2.8 Z3 3.0i 1998-2000 E36/7 BMW M Roadster M Coupe

Rocker arms work in conjunction with your camshafts and valves, applying pressure from the camshaft to open and close your intake and exhaust valves. If your rocker arm rollers have failed, this can lead to extreme camshaft damage, requiring the camshaft to be replaced. Replace your rockers whenever servicing your camshafts or replacing your hydraulic lifters to ensure long-term engine reliability.
