The valve cover is responsible for sealing the internal workings of the engines' top end. Most vehicles require a replacement gasket at some point or another and newer models have plastic valve covers that get brittle and crack with age.

VTT created these for the B58 owner who wants to add a great look to their engine bay while also getting rid of the stock plastic valve cover which has problematic PCV systems and can crack with higher mileage. Valve covers can crack or warp over time, leading to vacuum and oil leaks. This can cause check engine lights, a rough idle, and can make a mess, often covering the attached engine accessories in oil. If your valve cover has cracked or warped, we recommend replacing it with this aftermarket valve cover assembly. This replacement valve cover comes with new gaskets, BMW p/n 11129797205 and 11127617411, and new mounting hardware to attach the valve cover to the cylinder head.
