Turbo Lines & Hoses

OE turbocharger hoses and lines are made to perform year-round in any climate. For that reason, they tend to be constructed of flexible materials that will wear out in time. Here you will find everything you need to service all of the turbochargers connecting pipes and oil lines.

This Boost Leak Tester kit mounts inside both of the flexible intake hoses that lead to your turbo's compressor inlet flanges. You will need to remove the air box (or your aftermarket air filters) to expose the 2 intake pipes. Install the testers in each pipe and pressurize the system using the tire schrader with your tire inflation tool. The kit comes with the necessary caps to block the diverter valve return flanges on the intake pipes, also a cap to block the breather line at the bakc of the valve cover. Once the kit is installed, use compressed air to charge the system and you will see that both gauges read the compressor pressure you are filling with. You'll be able to test the turbo to the motor checking all leak points in between, including intercooler, clamped connections, intake manifold, divertor valves and the many random potential leak points. Note: Testing at the intake pipe, you may hear noise coming from the o-ring (at ~12 psi test pressure) that seals the intake pipe to the turbo inlet from debris. This is not a boost leak, these are not meant to see boost and not intended to be perfectly sealed, however hearing this hissing may be mis-diagnosed as a leak. In this case reduce the pressure. If no obvious leaks are heard in any other location, the test is complete and there are no significant leaks The gauge on the boost leak tester allows the user to: apply a safe amount of pressure to prevent injury or damage to the charge pipes or engine read how fast the system holds and bleeds air after removing the air source give a good comparison of compressor outlet air Vs. boost test air while pressurizing. The smaller the difference the lesser the air loss in the system Design Features: Plastic End Caps with 1/8" NPT threaded gauge port & fitting port Boost Gauges with 30 PSI / 1Bar Boost Gauge Universal Tire Schrader Valve (can be removed and tapped for 1/4" NPT thread fitting if desired) (2) Stainless Steel T-Bolt Clamps with Teflon lock-nut (3) Vinyl Caps for diverter valve return and valve cover breather

The turbocharger oil supply line is one of the most common failure points on N14 and N18-equipped R5X MINIs. Responsible for delivering a steady stream of pressurized oil to the turbocharger’s center housing (CHRA), this line keeps the turbo’s bearings properly cooled and lubricated. Unfortunately, its location directly alongside the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter exposes it to extreme heat. Over time, this heat causes the oil inside the line to harden or “coke,” creating a permanent restriction that starves the turbo of vital lubrication.

MINI attempted to address this issue by adding a retrofit heat shield to N14 models, but the problem continues to plague MINI owners. Furthermore, the OEM banjo bolts rely on copper crush washers that become brittle and warp under heat, leading to persistent oil leaks at the back of the engine.

To eliminate these issues, ECS developed a high-performance replacement for the factory turbocharger oil feed line (11657534454). Built from premium stainless steel braided -4 AN hose and engineered to withstand the harsh thermal environment of the N14/N18 engine bay, this upgrade ensures consistent, dependable oil delivery. A PTFE inner lining provides exceptional chemical and temperature resistance, while black zinc–coated fittings and banjo bolts offer improved corrosion protection and long-term sealing. The result is a durable, leak-free solution that outperforms the factory design in every way.

Features:

-4 AN stainless steel braided hose eliminates the OE swivel fittings for superior sealing and consistent oil flow

PTFE inner lining delivers outstanding chemical and temperature resistance

Black-anodized aluminum AN fittings offer improved durability and a refined appearance

Black zinc–coated banjo bolts resist corrosion for a long-lasting repair

Includes four new crush washers to ensure proper sealing during installation

Whether you're fixing an oil leak or performing preventative maintenance, choose the ECS upgraded turbocharger oil feed line for lasting durability and leak-proof performance.
