The oil filter housing is pretty self explanitory; It holds the oil filter assembly. Not only does this provide a small amount of cooling but it makes the filter much easier to service.
Includes gaskets and hardware to replace both oil filter housing gaskets. Over time gaskets become dry and brittle allowing oil to leak in your engine compartment. Replace this gasket and stop having to top off your oil every month. A common source of leaks on the N54/55 is the gaskets between the the thermostat plate and filter housing, and also the filter housing to engine block.
