Enhance rear-end control and put more power to the ground with a straightforward 3-piece design that installs with ease. The factory rubber may favor ride comfort, but it struggles to keep up when driving gets aggressive. As it wears, the OEM bushing can soften and deform, reducing stability and allowing wheel hop to creep in when you need traction most.

Our 95A durometer polyurethane bushings solve that problem. Engineered to strike the perfect balance between soft factory rubber and harsh solid mounts, they significantly reduce differential movement without introducing excessive vibration. The result is more efficient power transfer, so your torque goes straight to the rear wheels instead of being lost in drivetrain flex.

Features & Benefits:

Minimizes differential movement and instability to help eliminate wheel hop
Two-piece 95A split polyurethane design for easier installation
Precision-fit insert reinforces the bushing and strengthens mounting points
Resistant to road salt, oils, and harsh chemicals
Compatible with dual mount differential plates
Design:

Type II Anodized 6061-T6 CNC billet aluminum inserts for superior corrosion resistance and durability.
95A Polyurethane 2-Piece Isolator.
Product Development:

Our Rear Differential Bushings are designed, engineered, tested, and quality inspected by our Research & Development team. Our development process includes leading-edge product technology: FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long-term product testing.

NOTE: We suggest replacing 3 of BMW # 31126760203 during installation Kit comes supplied with M14 mounting bolt, thread locker, and a Powerflex keyring. With the newer F8x M2/M3/M4's making big power and having superb chassis straight from the showroom, it's no wonder they're often found at the most serious of track-days or at tuning shops around the globe. Unfortunately, the power that makes these cars so fun to drive eventually has an impact on the vehicles' suspension components- most notably the rear differential bushings. Despite having alloted for two mounting bushings on the factory tubular subframe, BMW opts to use only a single offset bushing in the rear to mount the diff bracket to the subframe. This essentially creates a pivot point for the diff under torque loading, especially if the 4x front diff bushes are worn out and softer than they once were. With hard launches and sudden and frequent on-off throttle changes, the single rear OE rubber bushing is subject to extreme torsional and directional forces, resulting in rapid degradation with failure often seen at around the 30,000-40,000 mile mark, and an unsettled and potentially clunky rear-end. The PFR5-4030 Dual Mount Diff Bracket is made from our in-house CNC machined 6082 High-Tensile Aluminum, and is designed to utilize the secondary mounting position on the OE subframe. With the addition of a second bushing, this prevents the diff from twisting under load, providing benefits such as: Reduced drivetrain movement Improved throttle response A more controlled and consistent chassis response to acceleration/deceleration Improved tire-to-road power transfer due to reduced wheel hop Reduced strain on bushings The corrosion-resistant, satin black, anodized aluminum bracket is optimized for high stress and deflection while withstanding high torque loads, but serves the same purpose in road-use and track-use cars with either a single OE bushing or dual aftermarket bushings. Although the bracket can be fitted without the need to remove the subframe from the vehicle completely, we would strongly recommend combining Powerflex products by using our already hugely popular 80A durometer PFR5-4026 Rear Diff Rear Mounting Bushings for both rear mounting positions alongside our PFR5-4025 Rear Diff Front Mounting Bushings in the front for the ultimate in differential control and a lasting street or track solution.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane differential bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Powerflex is the number one selling suspension bushing manufacturer in Europe. Their experience with polyurethane bushing material and state-of-the art manufacturing techniques allows them to produce premium performance bushings, made to exact-fit standards. Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings are built to last longer than OEM rubber bushings, while improving performance and allowing for a more engaging driving experience. Powerflex is pleased to introduce their new N54, N55, and B58 Engine Mount Inserts, intermediate alternatives to the BMW aluminum inserts and much stiffer full replacement engine mounts available on the aftermarket. Made in Yellow 70A durometer material, they are designed to fit the OE mounts snuggly to restrict engine movement with a minimal increase in NVH, perfect for those with tuned road cars. Their design and flexibility also mean they can be fitted to the vehicle without removing the engine mounts themselves. Reducing engine/transmission movement by way of upgraded inserts has the following benefits: Sharper throttle response Improved gear shifting More direct power transfer More balanced on/off throttle handling Prolonged life of the OE mounts A small increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.

The Powerflex Rear Sway Bar Bushing - 18.5 mm Street for the BMW X3 (2003-2010) is a premium suspension upgrade designed to replace the factory rubber bushings with high-performance polyurethane. This bushing specifically fits rear sway bars with a 18.5 mm diameter, providing better durability and handling for street-focused driving.

Product Features:

  1. The Powerflex Rear Diff Front Mount Bushing - Flat Type for the BMW E38 7 Series and E39 5 Series is a premium suspension component designed to replace the factory rubber bushing in the front mount position of the rear differential. This high-performance polyurethane bushing is engineered to enhance drivetrain stability and improve overall vehicle performance, making it an ideal upgrade for drivers seeking longevity and sharper handling.

    Product Details:

    1. Flat-Type Design: This bushing is built with a flat-type design, which ensures a direct replacement fit for the factory-installed bushing in the front mount of the rear differential. It aligns perfectly with the BMW E38 and E39 chassis, providing an accurate and secure fit without the need for modifications.

    2. Polyurethane Material: Powerflex bushings are constructed from high-quality polyurethane, which offers superior durability compared to traditional rubber. This material is highly resistant to wear, heat, and degradation from oils and road contaminants, ensuring that the bushing remains effective for a much longer period under both normal and performance driving conditions.

    3. Enhanced Drivetrain Control: The rear diff front mount bushing plays a critical role in controlling the movement of the rear differential during acceleration, deceleration, and cornering. Powerflex's polyurethane bushing limits excessive movement and reduces drivetrain flex, leading to more consistent power delivery, reduced differential "clunking," and a smoother, more precise ride.

    4. Improved Handling: By stiffening the front mount of the rear differential, this bushing enhances the stability and control of the rear suspension, particularly during aggressive driving. Drivers will notice a reduction in body movement and improved handling characteristics, allowing for more confident cornering and better overall vehicle dynamics.

    5. Direct Replacement for OEM Bushings: Designed to replace the original rubber bushing without any additional modifications, this bushing fits seamlessly into the existing suspension setup of the BMW E38 7 Series and E39 5 Series. Installation is straightforward, and the bushing is engineered to match the factory specifications while offering a significant performance upgrade.

    6. Long-Lasting Durability: Polyurethane bushings are designed to withstand harsh conditions and prolonged use, far outlasting the OEM rubber components. This bushing resists cracking, warping, and deterioration over time, ensuring that it maintains its structural integrity and performance even after years of use.

    Advantages:

    • Increased Drivetrain Stability: Reduces differential movement, providing a smoother and more stable power transfer to the rear wheels.
    • Better Handling Response: Enhances rear-end control during acceleration, deceleration, and cornering, improving overall vehicle dynamics.
    • Long-Lasting Material: Outlasts rubber bushings, offering a cost-effective, long-term suspension upgrade.
    • Direct OEM Fitment: Simple replacement with no modification required, ensuring an easy installation process.

    Fitment:

    • BMW E38 7 Series (1994-2001)
    • BMW E39 5 Series (1995-2003)

    Key Benefits:

    • Reduced Drivetrain Slack: Minimizes play in the rear differential, eliminating clunks and improving overall ride quality.
    • Durable and Resilient: Made from high-performance polyurethane that resists damage from road debris, oils, and extreme temperatures.
    • Perfect for Daily or Performance Driving: Balances improved handling with everyday comfort, making it a suitable upgrade for both street and spirited driving.

For BMW E38 7 Series and E39 5 Series owners looking for a reliable, long-lasting upgrade, the Powerflex Rear Diff Front Mount Bushing - Flat Type delivers improved handling, enhanced drivetrain control, and a more responsive driving experience. This is a vital upgrade for maintaining the performance and reliability of your rear suspension system.

The E30 rear subframe is held into the chassis by two bolts going through these rubber mounts. A lot of suspension motion, chassis flex, and driveline torque has to go through these two points, which makes them notorious for failure. When they do, the subframe will move around, playing havoc with your suspension's alignment and settings and making a very annoying clunk. These are direct replacement rubber mounts, sold as a pair. This item fits the following BMWs: 1984-1991 E30 BMW 318i 318is 318ic 325e 325es 325i 325ic 325is M3
