Includes everything needed for a rod bearing service, featuring BE Bearings upgraded rod bearings. The S65 engine has a known history of rod bearing failure, and if your engine is higher mileage, don't let this catastrophic failure happen to you. Replace your rod bearings and prevent a spun bearing which can trash your crankshaft. BE Bearings, in conjunction with Clevite, an OE bearing manufacturer, have redesigned and manufactured the bearings for greater clearance and have changed the original material composition from tin-aluminum to lead-copper. This upgrade incorporated the state-of-the-art Clevite Tri-Metal design and featured a Tri-Armor™ coating. This allows for the additional lubrication for wear prevention, plus, the softer bearings are better for your engine and are more tolerant of foreign particles suspended in your oil. Another benefit from this is that the oil can now be sent for testing to accurately gauge the amount of wear occurring in the engine. Kit includes Upper and lower BE Bearings upgraded rod bearings Hardware Oil filter Castrol TWS Edge Professional 10W 60 Oil pan gasket RedLine assembly lube

Carrillo rods are your number one option for performance connecting rods! If you are looking to upgrade your N20 engine to handle greater power, we highly recommend these Pro-H connecting rods. Upgrading connecting rods in your engine can bring several benefits, particularly if you're looking to enhance performance, reliability, and overall durability. Here are some reasons why you might consider investing in upgraded connecting rods: Increased Strength: Upgraded connecting rods are often made from stronger materials, such as forged steel or titanium, compared to stock rods. This increased strength helps withstand higher levels of stress and load, making them suitable for high-performance applications. Improved Durability: Enhanced materials and manufacturing processes contribute to improved durability, reducing the risk of connecting rod failure, especially in high-stress situations. This is crucial for engines that undergo frequent high-speed or high-stress conditions, such as in racing or heavy-duty applications. Higher RPM Capability: Upgraded connecting rods are designed to handle higher engine RPM (revolutions per minute) without succumbing to fatigue or deformation. This is beneficial for those seeking increased horsepower and torque at higher engine speeds. Reduced Weight: Some upgraded connecting rods are engineered to be lighter while maintaining strength, contributing to a lower overall rotating mass in the engine. This can result in quicker revving, improved throttle response, and better overall performance. Enhanced Precision: Upgraded rods often undergo more precise machining processes, ensuring tight tolerances and improved balance. This precision can lead to better engine stability and reduced vibration, ultimately extending the life of engine components. Compatibility with High-Performance Builds: If you're planning on modifying your engine for increased horsepower through methods like turbocharging or supercharging, upgraded connecting rods become essential. They provide the necessary strength and reliability to handle the increased stresses associated with forced induction. Prevention of Catastrophic Failures: Upgrading connecting rods can act as a preventive measure against catastrophic engine failures. The improved strength and durability reduce the risk of a connecting rod breaking, which could lead to severe engine damage. Specifications: CC(in): 5.683 CC(mm): 144.35 Style: PRO-H Bolt Size: 3/8 Bolt Type: WMC Pin Width(in): 0.822 Pin Width(mm): 20.88 Big Width(in): 0.822 Bid Width(mm): 20.88 Big Bore(in): 2.1112 Big Bore(mm): 53.62 Pin Size: 22mm QTY: Set of 4 Founded by Fred Carrillo in 1963, Carrillo Connecting Rods was established with an unwavering commitment to uncompromising standards in manufacturing. Fred recognized that the relentless pursuit of speed demanded an equally fervent dedication to the quality of components. This foundational philosophy remains as strong today as it was at the inception of Carrillo in 1963. At CP-Carrillo, quality and pride are inseparable. The process of crafting a CP-Carrillo rod transcends mere forging, production targets, and shipping deadlines. The evolution of connecting rod design has become a collaborative effort involving skilled specialists. Each connecting rod is a precision symphony, with material specialists, forging experts, production craftsmen, design engineers, and engine specialists contributing their expertise and artistry. Customer feedback plays a pivotal role in our continuous product improvement.
