These Rear Lower Control Arm Knuckle Bushing replace the rubber factory bushing attaching the lower control arm to the knuckle with a low friction teflon-lined spherical bearing. Replacing the OEM component with this bushing will allow for less deflection under heavy load, and less bind as the arm travels through its suspension. We use the largest possible FK bearing in this location for increased longevity and lower NVH. The housing for the bearing is machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum and is CNC cut to +/- .001" tolerance to insure proper fitment. Sold as a pair. Made in the USA. An underrated component of a proper driver's suspension the monoball kit (tension strut ball joint kit in today's terminology), is a remnant of an era when road feel was something desirable and sought after. Drivers wanted the visceral feel of being connected to the road as the road-racing heritage of BMW M demanded. Dinan embraced this and over the years mastered its craft into a kit that not only satisfied the desire for proper road feel but also made it livable for everyday driving. While stock suspension properties may have swayed from its golden era lineage to more mainstream ideals, Dinan is here to correct those mistakes for those that want a more M-passioned BMW experience. The Dinan Tension Strut Ball Joint Kit provides responsiveness you can feel by replacing the rubber bushings in the thrust arms with precision ball joints and machined aluminum housings. Improves responsiveness by eliminating the deflection inherent in the stock rubber bushings while also reducing brake shimmy. The quietest bearings on the market are virtually noise-free so you can live with them every day. These are the only bearings on the market that are sealed using a rubber boot to keep out dirt and road grime stopping them from wearing out prematurely. Features: Improved steering responsiveness. Reduces brake shimmy. Nylon-lined bearings for quiet operation. Machined aluminum housings. Sealed bearings.

Control arm bushing brackets do not typically wear or fatigue. But we sell replacement brackets as a convenience to go with new bushings (press one bushing instead of pressing out the old). For racers it's a great idea to keep a spare set of bushings with brackets on hand since pressing bushings at a racetrack is not ideal. Keep a spare set to avoid hassle and downtime.

For someone looking for superior performance and longevity these sealed monoball bushings are the best upper thrust bearing you can buy for an E82 1-series or E9X 3-series. The advantage of a monoball bearing is that it will not deflect under load. All of the rubber bushings move in all sorts of directions and that changes your alignment, especially when used with big brake kits or when driven hard. The condition worsens as the bushing wears out. The Dinan monoball sits in a CNC machined aluminum housing which has zero deflection. The monoball allows complete freedom of movement but only at the desired angles. What you get is superior steering precision, better handling from more consistent alignment, and almost infinite bushing life. And thanks to the inner liner and sealed rubber boots there's none of the extra noise or reduced service life of fully solid race bushings.

These are the factory BMW Motorsport Group N high performance front upper control arm bushings. These heavy duty rubber bushings are stiffer than the stock bushings to improve steering feel and improve handling. They are great for track use - and Grand Am Cup legal! - yet can also be used on a street driven car - please note these will not be as compliant as the stock rubber bushings. These are for the control arm with the ball joint pointing down, sometimes referred to as the thrust arm or tension strut.

Price is for the pair of bushings.

This package is a complete overhaul of the rear suspension bushings in the E46 3-series. If your car is not feeling as crisp, has irregular tire wear, or has inconsistent (and unsafe) handling it's likely the rear bushings. We put together this package as a total overhaul to restore your car back to its original feel. Depending on the symptoms and diagnosis from your mechanic, it may be logical to replace all of the bushings in the rear suspension (there are 19 total). This is especially true if the subframe is being removed to repair or reinforce the rear floor (prone to failure).

Turner Motorsport is a big believer in using rubber bushings for street cars. Urethanes, Delrin, or aluminum are generally good for reducing compliance and limiting deflection - attributes that don't really work well on roads filled with potholes, railroad crossings, cracks, and expansion joints. The rubber bushings maintain the factory ride/handling traits that won the 3-series praise all over the world. Every bushing will need maintenance or replacement at some point and rubber has proven to last the longest and need less maintenance than anything else, even urethane. And unless competitive driving is your goal, the harder materials are only a gimmick.

Individual Item Descriptions:
Trailing Arm Bushings and Limiters (33 32 2 228 153 and TSU9990001) - our OEM rubber replacement trailing arm bushings (RTABs) are a perfect fit and help maintain rear toe alignment. The Limiters prevent premature bushing wear.
Rear Inner Control Arm Bushings (upper 33 32 1 092 247 and lower 33 32 6 770 824) - new stock inner rubber bushings for the upper spring arm and the lower camber arm. These do not wear out very quickly but should be replaced as a 'While you're in there...' job.
Rear Outer Control Arm Bushings (upper and lower) (33 32 6 775 551) - outer ball joints for the upper spring arm and the lower camber arm. These are the standard ball joint design found on the M3 and are a direct replacement upgrade on the other E46 models.
Rear Shock Mounts (JTD909) - Our very best JT Designs rear shock mounts with gaskets and hardware. If your mounts have not been replaced in the last 40,000 miles, now is the perfect time. Skip this option if you recently replaced mounts or already have an upgraded mount.
Rear Shock Mount Reinforcements (TSU9975100) - Even if your shock mounts are new or recent, the sheetmetal of the rear shock tower can still fatigue, leaving you with a very dangerous and expensive fix. These reinforcements are extra-thick, providing crucial strength to one of the weakest points on the car. They work with nearly every shock mount.
Differential mounts (33 17 1 093 175MY and 33 17 6 751 808MY) - Now is a great time to replace the rubber-isolated differential mounts. The diff mounts take the bulk of the twisting and binding as power is transmitted through the differential. We use a Meyle HD rubber bushing for the rear mount as it's stronger than the factory part.
Rear subframe mounts (33 31 6 770 783, 33 31 6 770 784, and 33 31 6 770 781 x 2) - The heart of the rear suspension, the subframe (or carrier) mounts located the entire rear suspension to the car. There are four mounts in total and bolt up into the rear floor. Worn subframe mounts are one of the leading contributors to rear floor-subframe failure. As the mounts flex, so does the sheetmetal of the chassis, which will fatigue the sheetmetal and crack the spot welds. Therefore, replacement of the subframe mounts is critical and a must when doing the subframe reinforcement or repair.

Anytime that you replace your front control arms you must replace your control arm bushings. The reason is because it's hard to tell if you're bushings are really bad and they are often destroyed when removed. These are the control arm bushings from the 1996-1999 E36 M3 and have the hole in the center.

These are the stock bushings bushings from the 1996-99 E36 M3 and MZ3 but are a great upgrade for any E30 - 318/325, E36 - 325/323/328, and Z3 -1.9, 2.3, 2.5, 2.8, 3.0. They have more rubber than the non-M stock bushings. We have found the increased volume of rubber helps the bushings last longer and have better steering response due to less deflection of the bushing. These bushings can actually help reduce vibrations produced by the mass of larger wheels or brakes.

For convenience, we carry the steel bushing carrier brackets (part# TSU9995PB3) with new hardware which will save you downtime caused by pressing out the old bushings and pressing in the new bushings.

For someone looking for superior performance and longevity these sealed monoball bushings are the best upper thrust bearing you can buy for an F22 2-series or F3X 3/4-series.

We strongly advise using these with new control arms. BMW recommends that the bushings be replaced only once per set of control arms. So if your thrust arm bushings have been replaced already then we do not recommend re-using the arms. The other reason is that the aluminum arms stretch over time which will make the bushings loose inside the arm. Other manufacturers recommend filling the stretched arms with paste but replacing the control arm is the better solution.

For over 35 years, Dinan has been America's premier tuning company, pioneering advancements in BMW modification while retaining a focus on balanced performance that preserves the original character and driving feel that a BMW offers. When you install a Dinan part on your car, know that it's not only carefully developed and tested, but that Dinan stands behind it with a four year, 50,000-mile warranty. Dinan believes so fully in their “total package” approach that once your car has been fitted with enough of their parts, they celebrate your conversion from stock to Dinan with an exclusive trunk badge, displayed proudly by BMW enthusiasts everywhere.

Anytime that you replace your front control arms (which should be often), you must replace your control arm bushings. The reason is because it's hard to tell if you're bushings are really bad and they are often destroyed when removed. This upper front control arm (also known as a thrust arm or tension strut) is a direct replacement for the original part and is the OEM Lemforder brand.

Control arms, and their integrated ball joints, are some of the most crucial components on a BMW suspension. The control arms literally control the wheel and suspension as they go through their range of motions. A faulty or worn control arm or ball joint is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening problem so make sure they are inspected and replaced at regular intervals. For a street-driven car we advise yearly inspection and a full replacement every 3-4 years. For track-driven cars these should be inspected before every event and replaced every two years.

The E38 upper control arms include both the inner and outer bushing.

These BMW Motorsport Group N Bushings replace all of the bushings on the factory toe control arm (also known as the track strut). These inner and outer bushings feature a heavy duty rubber that is stiffer than stock. The stiffer bushing reduces deflection and twist in the arm, leading to more stable handling and faster response in the suspension. These bushings are great for track use and legal for some racing classes yet can also be used on a street driven car where extra ride harshness can be tolerated.

Sold as a set of 4 - two bushings for each toe arm.
