For example if you have a spring rate of 300lbs per inch it will take 300lbs of force to compress the spring one inch. An average coilover for your F3x has over 400 lbs/in for the front and over 500 lbs/in for the rear, this means that it will take over 400lbs of force to compress your front spring one inch and over 500lbs of force to compress the rear one inch. The higher the spring rate, the more rigid your ride is going to be.
