As much of an "Ultimate Driving Machine" it is, many BMW models unfortunately suffer from weak points in the chassis. Back when the minds at BMW set out to design the E36's lower transmission support, they executed perfectly. A cast piece manufactured from lightweight aluminum would surely provide the proper support for the business end of the powertrain. This part functioned fine...mostly...when the vehicle was driven modestly. However, push it too hard and this brace becomes perfectly unusable when it snaps in half.
This upgraded piece is manufactured out of solid steel. Laser cut, precision CNC bent, and then tig welded together - this thing is ready to take a beating.
