The most common reason fuel pumps fail is a plugged or restricted fuel filter, which makes the pump work harder. When a fuel pump starts to go bad, you may experience lack of power, no start, bucking, sputtering, or the engine may stop running. If this is occurring be sure to replace it before you are left without a working a vehicle.

This metal pump, situated in the engine bay, is designed to boost pressure for the direct injection system. It includes a sealing O-ring and connects from the fuel feed to the fuel rail pressure line. Notably, this unit is equipped with the smaller spring.

Anyone that has approached the subject of substituting a higher volume fuel pump knows that fitting said pump into a stock housing can be a hassle. What's more is that certain methods can lead to less than safe or reliable results. Enter the Rally Road fuel pump adapter sleeve. This simple adapter makes the installation of a Walbro or Aeromotive fuel pump into the factory sending unit safe, secure and completely functional. The pump rests on a ledge at the bottom of the sleeve and is held tightly in the bracket by a mil-spec stainless steel clamp. A well thought, quality built solution to a common retrofit problem.
