Similarly to brake pads, the brake rotors can be matched to specific driving conditions and intended use. For solely street use the design and characteristics particular to each rotor are not big factors in overall braking performance. For instance, a cross-drilled rotor will not significantly improve braking under street conditions. Improved stopping performance will come mostly from your brake pads. Some rotor designs perform better under racing conditions with racing pads but, generally, all rotor types can be used on the street. For race track use we typically recommend a slotted or blank stock rotor. Any 2-piece floating rotor is superior to anything else and those are our first recommendation when available. For more information on the brake rotors we sell, check out our rotor buying guide.

All of these rotors are manufactured to meet BMW's specs for each vehicle application. Our standard rotors are sourced from original manufacturers for BMW (OEM), performance alternatives, or straight from BMW themselves. In some cases BMW Motorsport and BMW Performance will have their own rotor upgrades. Our Cross-Drilled, Slotted, and Drilled+Slotted rotors are manufacturered by StopTech - a global leader in braking technology and the braking technical partner to the Turner Motorsport racing team.

Precision manufactured for consistent stopping power during high performance driving. Featuring a matte black zinc coating for corrosion protection.

ECS has done it again, this time with the most advanced brake rotor yet - the 5th generation of high-performance brake rotors specifically designed for German cars. With each new generation iterative improvements have been made to enhance the overall braking performance, durability, and reliability of these rotors.

The V5 slotted rotor design provides excellent heat dissipation thanks to reduced pad out-gassing, meaning reduced brake fade. Slotting also reduces glazing, meaning consistently increased overall stopping power. The 5th generation slotted brake rotors also features a sleek black zinc coating for a clean, contemporary look as well as superior corrosion protection versus an uncoated or black oxide coated rotor.

Crafted from high-quality materials, ECS brake rotors are engineered to withstand the rigors of high-performance driving. The precise machining and finishing ensure optimal rotor balance and minimize vibration, resulting in a smooth and consistent braking experience.

Whether you're a weekend warrior or a daily driver, ECS 5th generation brake rotors are sure to provide you with the stopping power, durability, and reliability you need to confidently tackle any driving situation. Upgrade your braking performance today!
