To mark the 50th anniversary of BMW M GmbH, the classic BMW Motorsport emblem returns. The BMW logo with the staggered semicircles in blue, violet and red was used for the first time in 1973 on the racing cars of BMW Motorsport GmbH, which had been created the year before. It was only in 1978 and with the debut of the BMW M1 that the three color stripes leaning towards the letter M followed, which are inclined to the right and are still a trademark with a particularly high recognition value and strong identification power even outside the motorsport scene.
