The factory BMW charge pipes are prone to cracking, as they are made from brittle plastic. Here at Turner, we sell several brands of replacement charge pipes that are typically made from cast aluminum. We recommend upgrading to hard charge pipes even on stock forced induction vehicles to avoid cracking - we've seen cracking occur on high mileage cars running stock power just as frequently as we do with high horsepower builds.
Presenting the perfect addition to Eventuri's G9X M5 intake system to optimise the flow path to the turbos. The OEM inlets exhibit a reduction in diameter immediately downstream of the intake connection, which can restrict airflow, particularly at elevated boost pressures. Eventuri's carbon fiber inlets address this restriction by maintaining a consistent, larger cross-sectional area and therefore there is a larger captured volume of air directly in front of the turbos. Furthermore, the curvature of the inlets has been optimized to minimize flow resistance, promoting smoother airflow to the turbochargers. Made from prepreg carbon fiber with CNC-machined flanges, the inlets also provide an aesthetic improvement to the engine bay. The benefits of the inlets are apparent in tuned vehicles, where the boost pressure is higher and therefore the flow demand from the turbos is greater. This is where the larger inlet volume of the inlets helps provide that extra flow.
