Unlike the factory plastic inlet hose, which degrades over time and was never engineered with performance in mind, the ECS Tuning replacement features a durable, 4-ply silicone construction with wire reinforcement to handle higher temperatures and boost levels. Reinforced sections help prevent flex and collapse under load, and a smooth internal profile with a counterbored outlet reduces turbulence for optimized airflow to the turbocharger.

ECS Tuning also addresses a known issue where the OEM hose can walk off the turbo inlet and ingest the included gasket, often leading to premature turbo failure. This upgraded design provides a much more secure fit and peace of mind for performance-minded MINI owners.

Engineering and Development
Designed, tested, and quality-inspected at ECS Tuning’s in-house R&D facility in Wadsworth, Ohio. Utilizing precision tools like FARO laser scanning, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, and in-house rapid prototyping, ECS ensures perfect fitment and long-term durability.

Installation Notes
Installation is simple and fully reversible. Remove the stock inlet hose and install the ECS silicone hose using the included clamps and spacers as needed. No permanent modifications required.
