These weld protectors allow you to safely jack up your vehicle without crushing or bending any pinch welds. These will fit any jack and will work with many jack stands such as the Schwaben Aluminum Jack Stands.

Many BMWs, especially older models, feature pinch welds where the floor pan meets the rocker. These run from wheel-well-to-wheel-well and are an especially appealing jacking location with one shortfall - jacking on an unprotected pinch weld will frequently cause an unsightly bent and damaged weld. This damage is a quick to rust spot, being located on the lowest point of the vehicle and no longer being covered by protective ecoat, paint, or undercoat.
This Schwaben Pinch Weld Protector is designed to fit between any floor jack cradle and bottom of vehicle. It features a specially designed slot to straddle pinch welds, keeping jack from crushing or bending the pinch weld. The bottom side of protector is designed to fit any jack as well as the Schwaben (T#363164) aluminum jack stands.

Your floor jack is universal but it doesn't have to be with this adapter! Most newer BMW jack pads have an open recess inside that this adapter fits into. It's a rectangular peg for a rectangular hole. This gives the jack a much more rigid connection and almost impossible for the jack or pad to slip. You will never have to worry about scratching your rocker panels or jacking from the wrong spot - the positive connection ensures you are always lifting from the correct location. Made of black anodized aluminum for added strength and corrosion resistance, the adapter fits the head of most hydraulic floor jacks, including the Schwaben Low Boy.
Compatible with most BMW jack pads for chassis E39 and up. Retrofitting jack pads is common, especially on E36/Z3 models.
