Our B Series ignition coils are designed with performance and efficiency in mind. An engine needs 3 main components to run (Air, Fuel, Spark.) Ignition coils are responsible for 1/3 the operation your engine and it would be smart to weigh the options when shopping. Turner B Series ignition coils are modified to increase energy output; more energy output results in a faster, more efficient and consistent burn to make sure your fuel is being utilized to its maximum potential. Our signature Turner ignition coils feature a blue housing that give your engine the performance and aesthetic your looking for.
Ignition coils should be changed every 40,000 - 60,000 miles and are an important maintenance item due to the essential role they play in your engines health, performance and efficiency. Choose Turner Ignition Coils to keep your engine running strong and healthy.
Features and Benefits:
Increased performance
Direct fitment
Signature Turner Blue finish

The MINI N14 engine uses a traditional pencil coil design that operates using conservative dwell times and relatively low discharge energy. On stock vehicles, this system is sufficient. However, as cylinder pressures increase via higher boost, upgraded turbos, or ethanol-blended fuels, the strength required to bridge the spark gap increases substantially.
Under these conditions, standard N14 coils reach their electrical limits, resulting in high-RPM spark blowout, misfires, or reduced flame front propagation. To solve this issue, our team engineered the B-Series Coil Conversion Kit, which adapts modern BMW B48/B58 ignition technology to the N14 using proprietary brackets, standoffs, and wiring harness adapters. Our performance B48 ignition coils feature a significantly lower primary resistance and an optimized secondary winding structure, allowing them to store and release up to 2.3x more spark energy than the factory N14 ignition coil.
This clean, coil-on-plug upgrade drops directly into your valve cover without bulky external boxes or messy wiring. Whether you need an ignition service or are building a tuned N14, upgrade to B-Series ignition coils and experience improved spark energy and long-lasting performance.
Ignition coils are key to the efficiency and performance of your BMW. With a faulty coil the spark plug is not burning the air/fuel mixture properly and that can lead to problems anywhere in the engine and exhaust (including catalytic converters and O2 sensors). Problems with one or more coils will cause a fault code but not always a check engine light. A misfire code may be related to an ignition coil but could be from other things as well. Sometimes a visual inspection of a coil and coil boot will give an indication of a failure. You can also move coils around to different cylinder banks to see if the misfire code follows a suspect coil. We suggest always having one or two coils on hand to keep as spares.
This is the current replacement for some BMW 6 and 8-cylinder engines built in the late 2000s and after. BMW has made numerous changes to ignition coil part numbers in recent years but has approved this part number to work in the vehicles listed below. It's listed as a replacement coil for N20, N55, and S55 engines. In March 2015 BMW approved it for N51/N52 engines. This part number replaces the previous BMW part number 12137594937 for the cars listed below.
Sold per coil. Includes boot and connector.

Revitalize your BMW's performance with Eldor ignition coils. Sluggish acceleration, misfires, and rusty terminals may indicate a worn coil. Located on the engine's top, these coils require inspection and replacement every 60,000 miles or as needed. Ensure your ignition system is in optimal condition for peak performance.
