Rogue Engineering Transmission Mounts are sold as a pair, and come with Grade 8 Zinc plated hardware. Rogue Engineering transmission mounts are designed with street comfort in mind while still reducing left and right movement of the transmission. By using a cylindrical shape instead of the factory hourglass like design and utilizing Neoprene rubber deflection can be significantly reduced, minimizing unwanted transmission movement while maintaining vibration dampening characteristics.

You are looking at the BEST license plate bracket for your BMW, price no object! We never understood why BMW would put a cheap, plastic bracket on the back of a BMW to hold a license plate. The screws holding the bracket on would rust, the steel inserts hold the plate on would also rust, causing the hardware holding the plate on to seize or just no longer function. Our bracket fits any BMW that mounts license plates in the rear that use factory part number 51-18-8-238-061. Fits most BMWs produced AFTER 1999. If your vehicle does not use the plastic plate, it will not fit. Does not fit E46 touring (wagon). PROBLEMS with the factory bracket and hardware The screws that secure the plastic bracket are plated steel and will corrode over time. These two screw would normally not be seen since it is under the license plate, but it is holding the bracket onto the trunk. The four (4) nutserts that are pressed into the plastic frame (to hold the license plate) are also steel and will eventually seize with the bolt and just spin in the plastic frame becoming useless. The plastic frame itself is flimsy, doing a near minimal task of holding on the license plate. The hardware securing the plate to the bracket will rust, seizing to the nutsert or even spinning in place becoming completely useless. SOLUTION Create a more robust bracket that would not only be stiffer but also more corrosion resistant; CNC’d aluminum with an anodized finish. We machine a near identical plate, matching factory dimensions, from 1/2" plate of aluminum. Instead of nutserts pressed into plastic, map the correct position and machine the threads for the hardware directly into the plate. The hardware used to secure the new bracket to the trunk would be made from stainless steel (or optional corrosion-proof titanium) The hardware used to secure the license plate to the newly engineered bracket would also be stainless steel (or optional made from titanium) Kit Includes: One (1) Rogue Engineering designed and manufactured CNC'd aluminum license plate bracket Two (2) Stainless screws to secure bracket to trunk. Four (4) stainless screws to secure license plate to bracket.

Now that BMWs popular S54 engine (found in the 2001-06 BMW M3, 2001-02 MZ3 and 2007-08 MZ4) are getting older, it's important to keep an eye on particular items. One such point is the S54 Vanos oil line. Normally thought of as a worry-free item, it has proven to put the damper on many track days. Rogue's stainless steel braided VANOS line replaces the factory BMW part number 11367837614 (current MSRP from BMW is $128.08!) The high pressure (1200psi) control system of the S54 vanos system is used to ensure responsive and accurate camshaft adjustments. The added complexity of the high oil pressure used on the S54 vanos means more opportunities for failures. Some customers have encountered the high pressure hardline fail at the track, spraying oil all over their engine compartment, ending their day. Rogue Engineering's S54 Vanos Oil Line is built in their Upper Saddle River, NJ facility, and tested to over 3000psi. Using their stainless steel braided hose with the proper banjo fittings, this a direct replacement for the factory line. Aluminum flywheels are much lighter than the stock steel flywheel and that produces better throttle response and more available horsepower to the wheels for faster acceleration. The JB Racing aluminum flywheels are a direct replacement for the stock flywheel and work with stock clutch components for an easy upgrade with very little downside.

Modern flywheels are built with additional components and features that are designed to dampen and minimize vibrations from the engine and transmission. As a result they have become bloated in weight and that means more energy is used up just making the flywheel spin. The weight difference between an aluminum and steel flywheel is huge - sometimes more than 50% less. Without the additional mass, more energy can be diverted to where it counts most - moving the car. The flywheel and clutch is one of the first areas that engine builders address when making the rotating assembly lighter for race engines. The dampening effect is just not needed on cars that are focused on performance.

In addition to releasing more power to the wheels, the lighter flywheel allows the engine to spin more freely, which improves throttle response. Again, the difference is huge as you watch the revs build faster than before. With the engine spinning easier the power band comes up much sooner. The stock steel flywheel feels lazy in comparison. There is a driving adjustment required to get used to how much faster the engine revs but that's not really a downside.

The JB lightweight flywheel is designed to be used with a factory organic clutch - the same clutch kit that you would get from any BMW dealer. This makes replacement clutch components easy to source and inexpensive when compared to specialized racing clutches. By using the factory BMW clutch, JB has also made the whole assembly easy to live with when used on the street. The clutch behaves the same as it originally did - just with better throttle response and more power! The JB flywheel can also be rebuilt with a new clutch contact surface - you don't have to buy a new flywheel.

Aluminum flywheels are considered 'single-mass' flywheels because they do not have the same dampening designs as an original 'dual-mass' flywheel. With a single-mass design more noise and vibration may be noticeable. There are steps you can take to minimize the noise - heavier weight transmission oil and clutch discs with anti-rattle springs (sprung-hub clutch). In addition to the standard replacement clutches, we also sell Sachs Performance sprung hub clutches that also work with the JB flywheels.

Rogue Engineering has developed a power pulley kit that reduces the drag on specific pulleys while allowing others to remain at their same efficiency. This allows for perfect operation in daily driven vehicles without a hiccup or stutter. However, when the demand for power is requested, the power pulley kit allows for the freed power to become apparent.  The term "power" pulley is a bit of a misnomer. Underdrive pulleys actually free up power by reducing the drag caused by the accessories.  These pulleys are based off a calculated percentage from factory dimensions, so that particular component speeds are safely reduced without affecting their true purpose.

Rogue Engineering Power Pullies are CNC machined from 6061-T6, heat treated aluminum and specially coated with a MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodize finish. This kind of anodizing is not to be confused with a Type II cosmetic anodize finish (typical colors such as red, blue, silver, green, etc.). The hard coat anodize finish actually builds a small surface layer on top of the aluminum, preventing wear.

Grand-Am approved this flywheel to be used with a factory E36 M3 clutch. This opens up a lot of clutch and pressure plate options but we typically used this with a stock Sachs OEM clutch kit. This makes replacement clutch components easy to source and inexpensive when compared to specialized racing clutches.
