When your CPV O-ring fails it causes a slow oil leak on the passenger side of the engine, making an oily mess that frequently resembles a rear main seal leak. Replacing the CPV with an upgraded o-ring ensures a long-term solution to this common problem.

The factory o-ring over time fails from heat cycling and oil exposure due to the Buna rubber used in OEM o-rings, while the included Viton Fluoroelastomer is resistant to a much higher temperature to ensure prolonged life without leaking.

The crankcase vent valve (CVV) holds and releases oil vapors that build up in the engine. It's the same type of system previously known as a PCV valve and the same deficiencies exist. Over time, the CVV will become saturated and clogged with oil. When this happens, the oil-rich vapors from the engine will back up into the intake tract and eventually into the combustion chamber. The oil added to the gasoline/air mix will cause misfires, carbon deposits, rough running, and blue smoke out the tailpipe. Replacing the CVV every 70,000 miles will ensure the correct and clean ventilation of oil vapor.

Replacement of the CVV can be done without removing the intake manifold. But replacing it during an M50 Manifold upgrade is the perfect time.

BMW E46 Crankcase Pressure Regulator Valve | S54 3.2L Engine is a crucial component that ensures proper crankcase ventilation by regulating oil vapor flow into the intake manifold, preventing excessive oil consumption and buildup. Designed specifically for BMW E46 models with the S54 3.2L engine, this valve helps maintain engine efficiency and performance. BMW engines are known to experience oil separator freezing in cold weather if not fully warmed up, which can lead to howling noises and oil leaks. To ensure a thorough repair, replacing the valve cover gasket when changing the separator is highly recommended.

  • Regulates crankcase pressure to prevent excessive oil consumption
  • Helps maintain proper engine ventilation for peak performance
  • Reduces the risk of oil separator freezing and associated leaks
  • Direct-fit replacement for BMW E46 models with S54 3.2L engine
  • High-quality materials ensure durability and long-lasting performance
  • Recommended to replace the valve cover gasket for a complete repair

Protect your BMW's engine from excessive oil consumption and leaks by replacing a failing crankcase pressure regulator valve with this premium-quality replacement.
