Whether you're building a track-only speed machine, show car, or ultra-serious street ride the seats can make an awesome upgrade. Aside from the obvious safety considerations with a seat, there are few upgrades that can have more of an impact in your driving experience. Sport or Race seats envelope and grip the driver's body, holding him/her in place even under extreme driving situations. When strapped into a seat with the appropriate harnesses you can become an integrated part of the car. Without the sliding around of stock seats you can have greater confidance and focus on the act of driving. The Ultra Carbon seat is the lightest FIA 8859-1999 seat in the Sparco range at 9.5 lbs. It is constructed with “Pre-Preg” aerospace grade carbon fiber, also known as Dry Carbon which gives the best strength to weight ratio. The Ultra Carbon seat is unique because it was designed to be used without a cover or padding. This allows a lower seating position and also better feedback from the chassis. The Ultra Carbon fiber shell has both form and function. It has an extremely comfortable shape that is contoured for the body with the perfect amount of recline and lumbar support. The Ultra Carbon was designed to fit into very narrow cockpits but still offer sizing that fits a standard to large size driver. The Ultra Carbon is FIA 8859-1999 approved. ** The Ultra seats require the Aluminum Side Mounts (#600W or #600W90) due to the shape of the seat. These will allow the seat to be mounted in the lowest position. Many racing series and event organizers are requiring 5 or 6-point harnesses in their events now. Attaching the anchor points to the seat base is a desired alternative to drilling holes in your floor and carpet*. This set includes the 6-point anchor to attach to the Macht Schnell floor mount as well as side attachments for either a bolt-in or snap-in harness.

* - note that most racing harness manufacturers will advise that drilling through the floor is the best method for mounting harnesses. This allows you to locate the mount in the ideal location and angle to fit your driving position. The proper installation is paramount to ensure the harness works correctly in an impact.

Easily the single best way to improve the feel of your interior is to replace the factory seats with something new and improved. Factory seats were designed to accommodate a vast array of driver sizes and preferences. As such, they tend to be comfortable and fairly unsupportive during spirited driving. While it is true that M models generally come with some of the nicest seats available to man, the same is not true of the rest of the fleet. The Ergomed ES delivers in the feature department and provides amenities generally reserved for high-end luxury seats. Superior ergonomics make this seat extremely comfortable no matter how long the drive. The backrest allows the spine to lay in a natural position that alleviates tension on the vertebrae. Back and shoulder bolsters ensure that your body stays centered properly in the seat and thigh bolsters and extensions keep your lower half planted and tension-free. All of this means your body will feel refreshed and relaxed every time you step out of the car, even after a long journey. This seat is AGR recommended and certified seat. Certified by the Association Forum for Healthy Back and Better Living and the Federal Association of German Spinal Schools. This seat is completely power adjustable from the thigh extension and bolsters to the back bolsters and lumbar support. A manual seatback lever makes folding the seat forward extremely easy in coupe vehicles.
