MMR's Performance intercooler for turbocharged F-Chassis BMWs improves power and torque output significantly by reducing charge air temperatures compared to OEM intercoolers. With a 70% increase in frontal surface area this version of the performance intercooler utilizes a bar and plate stepped core, effectively almost doubling the core volume of the stock unit. Even with its bigger size and weight of around 11kg, the MMR stepped performance intercooler ultimately still exists as an excellent solution to increasing power output and lowering air charge temperatures.
