Autotecknic Dry Carbon Fiber Intake Air Duct - F90 M5

AutoTecknic was established in 2000 and has since become one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of carbon fiber parts and accessories for a wide variety of manufacturers. AutoTecknic Dry Carbon Intake Air Ducts are designed to mount behind the front grills of your F90 M5 to provide a "ram-air" effect . The ducts achieve this by utilizing the air intake motion to increase static air pressure entering the intake manifold. This creates greater airflow throughout the engine by forcing in increased cooler air, resulting in lower engine temperature and cooler air going into the intake. Dry carbon fiber's name also comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold, and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to properly cure. This particular method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the “wet” method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means that there are fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets that form in the carbon. Dry carbon is the highest quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced.
