The Hawk DTC-60 Motorsport compound is a higher torque version of the DTC-60, perfect for heavily modified track vehicles that simply demand the best stopping power. This extremely high torque compound has a very aggressive initial bite with superior release and torque control characteristics, designed for vehicles with a high deceleration rate with or without down force. This means that even at high speeds these pads will provide the stopping power needed but still be able to reduce any drag upon release. The DTC-60 brakes pads are for track drivers looking for the best in a brake pad, and to  make them a winner. The DTC-60 pads are commonly used as a front application with the DTC-60 pads in the rear for a perfect blend in braking.

A brake pad from the right of the graph such as DTC-50, DTC-60, or DTC-70 will provide aggressive stopping power for the track, but may not be suitable for street driving as they require higher temperatures to function properly. Selecting a pad from the left of the graph such as HPS 5.0, HP+, or the new Street Race will offer a more streetable upgrade with comparatively lower dust and quieter performance, while still improving brake torque and being gentle on rotors.
