Subject to the ravages of heat cycling during each driving cycle - rubber hoses are more susceptible to wear and fatigue than aluminum piping. BMW utilized a single part number for their aluminum pipe and hose combination - making this part typically over $100 to replace.
Rein to the rescue! By supplying just the rubber component, repairs can be made quickly and cost effectively (and without the waste of scraping a perfectly good aluminum pipe!)
