This replacement flex disc (aka: the guibo) is a vibration dampener mounted on the back of the transmission which connects to the driveshaft. When it has worn, it produces a terrible vibration throughout the car. It's especially noticeable at low speeds and when starting from a standstill. Oil leaking from the back of the transmission will significantly reduce its life.
