The clutch master cylinder translates forces applied to the pedal down to the slave cylinder. No pressure in the pedal can be indicative of a failed master cylinder.
Over time, these units can wear out and develop an annoying squeak when the pedal is pressed. Responsible for transferring fluid to the slave cylinder to engage and disengage the clutch, a worn unit can affect pedal feel and performance. Swap yours out and eliminate that pesky squeaky piston for good.
