Several BMWs utilize a rubber u-joint that is notorious for failing with age. Depending on your vehicle, we often have upgraded components to strengthen your steering system and eliminate this failure prone part. This steering coupler has an integrated u-joint which can wear with age causing sloppiness or notchiness in the steering system. Replacing this coupler is recommended if play is present in the steering column. Located at the bottom of the steering column. Mounts the steering shaft to the steering gear.
