Automatic transmissions are reliable, shift smoothly, and can last without issue so long as they are properly maintained. Over time, the transmission fluid becomes thick and the filter becomes contaminated with small metal particles. This can cause excess wear, high transmission operating temperatures, and eventual failure. To prevent this we recommend changing your filter, fluid, and seals to ensure your transmission continues to operate flawlessly. We recommend filter and fluid changes every 50,000 miles. Often an oversight in maintenance, ignition components are also susceptible to wear and tear. Spark Plugs can accumulate carbon, reducing the spark intensity and it's ability to properly ignite the air/fuel mixture, leading to misfires and generally declining performance. Other ignition components, such as coils, boots, wires, caps, and rotors, can also wear out over time due to factors like heat and contamination, preventing the current from reaching the spark plug.

Replacement engine oil filler cap with seal (Original BMW brand). Oil caps can go bad.... If the cap is not sealing to the valve cover it will result in a vacuum leak (poor idle, rough running, etc). It also helps regulate pressure in the cylinder head. While there is no life expectency, there's no downside to replacing it every few years. This is a Genuine BMW part.
