BMW Drivetrain Parts for BMW 5 Series E28 (1982-1988)

Some modifications to your vehicle may not produce power to create gains in the overall performance of your driving. When you add a "Po' Boy" clutch stop to your BMW the performance gain is directly felt in the driving experience.

The ECS clutch stop allows the driver to fine tune the position of the clutch pedal to closely match the engagement point for precise, quicker shifting. The adjustment range found in this product can be set to the stock engagement point or can be adjusted to follow the wear of the clutch.  Meaning your new experience will never change all the way to the end of the clutch life and can be reset to enjoy the next clutch.

Note: This modification might require some slight modification to the clutch switch mounting bracket, which can be bent slightly by hand.

OEM FAG wheel bearing to replace BMW part # 33411134549 and 33411133124. When wheel bearing begin to fail you normally will here a squeaking or grinding noise or sometimes feel a slight amount of vibration in the steering wheel. Be sure to replace these asap to prevent possible damage to the hub or steering issues.

Replacement REAR wheel bearing. Sold individually, 2 required per car. This wheel rear wheel bearing fits the following BMWs:

It only takes a gust of wind to have your hood crashing down on your head, or if you have a carbon fiber hood and no longer have the gas struts than this could be what you need.

 This hood prop is adjustable, lightweight, and sturdy making it easy to keep out of the way in the trunk so it's there whenever you need it. 

Shifter slop is a common complaint among all BMW models. Some of that play comes from the bushings where the shifter carrier mounts to the transmission. The original rubber carrier bushings don't last very long and when they get too soft the shifter flops around. These Teflon bushings are not as stiff as Delrin so they won't transmit as much vibration and buzz in the shifter. Yet Teflon will last much longer than the factory rubber, giving you precise shifting for many years.

Note: this is only one part of the shift linkage and there may be other components that need replacing to improve shifting feel.

We advise getting a replacement bushing carrier pin as well. If the original rubber bushings are worn the pin will have wear too and you will still have slop in the shifter, even with the new bushings.
