This clutch release bearing sits between the clutch fork lever and pressure plate, transferring pressure from the clutch fork to the pressure plate to engage and disengage the clutch system. If your clutch is making a rattling, chirping, or grinding noise when pressing the clutch pedal, there is a good chance your throwout bearing has failed and needs to be replaced.
