The gears that drive the odometer in older BMW's had a habit of wearing down or breaking, leading to faulty reading on vehicle mileage. Unfortunately, these are not items you can get directly from BMW. Lucky for us, the team over at Odometer Gears started their business specifically for specialty items such as these.

Using plastic injection molding, Odometer Gears are able to create identical gears that restore perfect function to your odometer. The process is relatively simple and allows for your car to show correct mileage.

This secondary gear is an MM2 44x16 gear that is used only in E30 BMW's with the MotoMeter gauge cluster. This is the only second gear option available for the MotoMeter odometer system. This is easily determined by checking the back of the cluster when it is removed for the MotoMeter logo on the exposed portion of the circuit board.
