Drivetrain Mounts and Upgrades for BMW 3 Series E30 (1984-1991)

From the factory, engine and transmission mounts are rubber and thus a wear component. Worn out engine or transmission mounts create sloppiness and a disconnect between the driver and your BMW's powerplant. If your vehicle is purpose built for the track, we recommend solid engine and transmission mounts. These have zero deflection, but come at the expense of added NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). Poly engine and transmission mounts offer a good balance between OEM rubber and solid mounts for those with mixed purpose vehicles, offering great performance and connection with little sacrifice in terms of NVH.

These mounts are designed for an E30 with a M42 engine and an E34 with a M50 or M20 engine. Revshift polyurethane motor mounts are made in the U.S.A. from high-grade polyurethane. Revshift mounts are the most durable and reliable mounts on the market. CNC machined billet aluminum flanged ends are embedded deep in the urethane which prevents the isolated ends from separating under extreme loads. Utilizing class 14.9 alloy steel removable screws these mounts will hold your engine in place for a lifetime. To further ensure the strength of these mounts we form the threads with a forming tap which creates denser and stronger threads in the billet aluminum end pieces. These mounts have removable screws for ease of installation. We recommend using Loctite on the threads during installation. Revshift Performance Engineering is a high-performance parts manufacturer with a focus on quality, reliability, and performance. Utilizing high-precision machining technologies and their very own Polyurethane Manufacturing Department, every Revshift product is designed, manufactured, and tested in-house at their Detroit, Michigan facility.
