Anytime that you replace your front control arms you must replace your control arm bushings. The reason is because it's hard to tell if you're bushings are really bad and they are often destroyed when removed. These are the control arm bushings from the 1996-1999 E36 M3 and have the hole in the center.

These are the stock bushings bushings from the 1996-99 E36 M3 and MZ3 but are a great upgrade for any E30 - 318/325, E36 - 325/323/328, and Z3 -1.9, 2.3, 2.5, 2.8, 3.0. They have more rubber than the non-M stock bushings. We have found the increased volume of rubber helps the bushings last longer and have better steering response due to less deflection of the bushing. These bushings can actually help reduce vibrations produced by the mass of larger wheels or brakes.

For convenience, we carry the steel bushing carrier brackets (part# TSU9995PB3) with new hardware which will save you downtime caused by pressing out the old bushings and pressing in the new bushings.

A BMWs sub-frame is the heart of the suspension - as the subframe twists and shifts under load, all of the suspension mounting points also move. The rear suspension feels loose and lacks precision. As rubber or hydroelastic bushings wear, the bushing deflection gets worse. If you have a track driven BMW, you're putting even more strain on weak bushings. The solution is a stiffer and more durable material. Even BMW has moved to solid mounts on the modern F10 M5 and F8X M3/M4. These fully solid 318ti/Z3 aluminum mounts have zero deflection - the subframe does not move at all. The rest of the suspension can work as designed and maintain the proper alignment and motion ratios. The driver will notice the difference as the car is more stable and the handling is more precise. Although we designed these for use in our racecars, they can work on the street so long as the driver can tolerate some additional noise, vibration, and harshness. These mounts are CNC machined in the USA and made with high-grade aluminum.

Made in the USA Want the Ultimate design in a rear shock tower mount? You've found it. These rear shock mounts are designed for use on the track and racing. This set of mounts will help your rear shocks perform the best they can in those conditions. The advantage to using a mount with spherical bearing is that it allows the shock to freely move off axis without side loading the shock shaft like rubber or polyurethane mounts do. Side loading a shock increases stiction and wear which decreases its efficiency. Because these are mounts without an isolator (rubber or polyurethane) to dampen road noise and vibrations we do not recommend them for street cars. These were designed in-house and developed for our own track and race cars.

These TMS bearing mounts include both 10mm and 12mm stainless steel bearing sleeves to work with a wide variety of shock shaft pins. The pin is the upper-most portion of the shock where it passes through the mount. If you need a bearing sleeve size other than 10mm or 12mm please contact us.

These rear shock tower mounts fit the following BMWs:

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This in turn reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. Rear trailing arm bushings serve the key purpose of keeping rear suspension triangulated and the vehicle moving where it's directed to. Though failure prone, even factory-fresh OEM rubber bushings allow for deflection, causing suspension geometry changes on hard launches, over bumps in the road, and during cornering. This deflection results in clunking in the rear end, a “rear steer” feeling, and uneven tire wear.
Powerflex polyurethane rear trailing arm bushings are firmer than OEM bushings, resulting in a reduction of deflection that causes these suspension angle changes, improving handling over bumps and with a proper alignment, extending tire wear.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Trailing arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Swapping E46 Non-M control arms to your E36 is a quick way to increase camber and increase your front tire track width. To makes this an easier process, we are proud to introduce our Turner Motorsport Front Control Arm Monoball Upgrade kit! Our experience with spherical front control arm ball joints go back to those we designed and used in our IMSA E90 328i and E92 M3 racecars (GS class Champions in 2011). We wanted to offer e30, e36, and e46 owners similar levels of handling precision and control for the track and street, but weren’t satisfied with the other options out there. Instead of a Delrin® bushing or unsealed spherical bearing alone, we selected an oversized sealed greaseable spherical monoball to offer unparalleled durability and precision, but designed a Delrin® adapter sleeve to help isolate the added noise, vibration, and harshness that a full solid monoball bearing will have. While race-ready, our hybrid Delrin®/monoball control arm bearings are more at home on the street than other kits that are advertised as “race-only” bearings. We did extensive street, autocross, and track testing to ensure the spherical bearing used in this bushing design excelled in each setting. The stock rubber bushings, even those found in the M3, allow significant fore/aft movement of the front wheels to help absorb road impacts, especially when being pushed hard. This soft flexible design maximizes daily driving comfort, but also allows considerable alignment change. This unwanted deflection stands between you and a crisp, confidence-inspiring driving experience. The advantage of a monoball bearing is that it will not deflect under load, eliminating all unwanted deflection while still allowing complete freedom of movement in the desired angles. What you get is superior steering precision with better handling from more consistent alignment and direct braking feedback, with exceptional service life. Thanks to the Delrin® insert and double lip seals, there's none of the extra noise or reduced service life often found on other spherical bearings. In short, if you're seeking front control arm bushings that offer precise, predictable handling, crisper braking feel, with a long service life free from noise - look no further. We have you covered. Watch to learn more about Turner Monoball Bushing Bearing Extremely robust, greaseable, double lip sealed spherical bearing (Rated for 20,000lbf Dynamic, 90,000lbf Static). Housing 6061-T6, anodized bearing housing with needle grease zerk for easy maintenance. In house designed knurled OD to provide the perfect fit for the wide range of housing diameters among brands. Precision CNC machined Delrin bearing insert arm adapter, providing a tight fit between the bearing and the control arm. Performance Instant, crisp steering and braking response. Easy to maintain, long-lasting performance. Improved road feel without undesirable NVH. Grease before installation and with each oil service with high-quality Moly grease for maximum service life. Here at Turner we understand the importance of an upgrade that will get the results you need on the track and still be tolerable on the drive around town. When it comes to control arms on the track, making them as stiff as you can (usually using solid mounts) is the best way to increase your driving precision by eliminating the deflection of rubber. The next best thing to create a balance would be to stiffen up the control arm with polyurethane, giving you the option of a more stock like feel with 80a or closer to the solid feel with 95a durometers.

When it comes to the E36 chassis you also get the options of choosing a stock centered design or going with the E30 inspired offset bushing to increase castor, further taking advantage of improvd handling. These poly bushings will give your control arms a direct connection between your suspension and the body of the car eliminating the slop felt under take-off and braking so you feel more in control of your vehicle.

This item fits the following BMWs that use a centered-style bushing:

1984-1991 E30 BMW 318i, 318is, 325, 325e, 325es, 325i, 325is

Want a race-spec rear shock mount but with the comfort of a factory bushing? This ECS rear shock mount combines the precision and articulation of a spherical bearing with the isolation of urethane bushings. The stainless monoball bearing is lined with PTFE lubricant and suspended in 80A urethane and housed in a hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum mount. The spherical bearing is a better design than most rear shock mounts because it allows the shock to move and tilt without side-loading the shock shaft (which leads to premature failure of the shock). Most Genuine BMW and aftermarket shock mounts are not designed for shock angles and the stress that track or performance driving will put on the shock shaft. The ECS shock mount is properly designed to handle these loads. The internal bearing is also replaceable - it will be years before you have to replace the entire mount. The ECS mount is fully encapsulated to prevent the common shock mount failure of the stock mount design.

ECS RSM features:

  • Maintenance free, PTFE lined, stainless steel monoball spherical bearing for full shaft articulation
  • 80A polyurethane isolation bushings for NVH control
  • Accommodates 10mm, 12mm, or 14mm damper shafts
  • Fully constrained shaft mount makes RSM blow out impossible
  • Hard anodized 6061-T6 construction
  • Fully rebuildable design

* - the RSM comes with the BMW standard 10mm shock shaft bushings. 12mm is used on some performance shocks and 14mm is used on some true motorsport rear shocks.

BMW has long suffered issues with rear shock mount blowout on M3 and non-M 3 Series models dating back to 1984 with the E30 chassis. Little changed over the following two decades, and E36, E46, and Z3/Z4 models are also prone to this style of failure. After striking a pothole or another seemingly innocuous obstacle, a clunking from the rear emerges and handling becomes sloppy. Your shocks have blown through their mounts. Enter the Ultimate Performance Rear Shock Mount Kit from ECS Tuning. Not only does their industry-first design alleviate the blowout problem once and for all, but allows rear dampers to fully articulate, for the best possible damper performance and longevity. They accomplish this with no noticeable increase in noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH) thanks to their unique rebuildable polyurethane isolation. The poly bushings not only keep NVH to a minimum, but they also reduce impact loading on the bearing, improving bearing life over full solid mounted monoball designs. To further improve bearing life and longevity, this design incorporates a lower dust seal to keep road debris, grit, and other contaminants out of the bearing. These are one of the best rear shock mounts available, and the last you will ever need. Features: Maintenance-free, PTFE lined, stainless steel monoball spherical bearing for full shaft articulation Lower dust seal for improved bearing life 80A polyurethane isolation bushings for NVH control and improved bearing life Accommodates 10mm* Fully constrained shaft mount makes blowouts impossible Hard anodized 6061-T6 construction Class 10 black zinc plated studs New OEM lock nuts included Fully rebuildable design *For use with factory-style 10mm damper shafts. If you have factory-style mounts presently, you have 10mm damper shafts. *During installation a 17ft-lb torque spec is required to avoid damage to the mounts.

The E30 rear subframe is held into the chassis by two bolts going through these rubber mounts. A lot of suspension motion, chassis flex, and driveline torque has to go through these two points, which makes them notorious for failure. When they do, the subframe will move around, playing havoc with your suspension's alignment and settings and making a very annoying clunk. These are direct replacement rubber mounts, sold as a pair.

This package of mounts includes the front and rear mounts that should also be installed when replacing your struts and shocks. Don't overlook your rubber suspension mounts as they wear out just as fast (or faster) as the shocks themselves. Installing these new mounts does not take any additional time, effort, or special tools. These are direct replacements for the mounts already on the car.

E30 Mount Kit includes -
  • Front upper strut mounts (guide support), standard alignment settings (not offset)
  • Front and rear self-locking mounting nuts
  • Rear Lifetime Warranty 'Repair Shop' shock mounts
  • Rear shock mount gaskets
We offer three varieties of the rear shock mounts - OEM, Repair Shop, and HP alum-rubber. We recommend either the Repair Shop or HP mounts because the stock OEM design has a flaw that can lead to premature failure of the mounts. The Repair Shop and HP mounts use a different design that will last longer and the Repair Shop mounts also have a lifetime warranty!

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time.

Swapping in E46 control arms into your E30 or E36 significantly increases negative camber by widening the track width and also gives you more clearance for more steering angle. Condor's CNC machined control arm brackets are made from solid steel and are fitted with a solid hex-shaped bushing. Designed for the street or the track, they hold the control arm steady and eliminate "shimmy" caused by stock bushings. They sharpen steering and improve overall driving feel. Comparable to the NLA Treehouse E36 & E30 Eyeball Arms.

Easiest install of any aftermarket solution
Allow clearance for E30 M50 Conversion exhaust
Street Approved, marginal increase in NVH
Easy Installation, no need for a press
    CNC machined steel construction
Solid design without the maintenance of spherical bearings
Heavy-Duty replaceable UHMW insert. Don't be misinformed, UHMW is the best material for these inserts. Delrin is not self-lubricating and will crack and degrade over time.
Powder coated white for corrosion resistance
Improve caster with M3 offset geometry
Keep proper steering geometry under high loads
    Made in the U.S.A.
    Fitment:
    E30 84-91 3 Series
    E36 92-98 3 series & Z3

Note that you will need to use E36 outer tie rods and E90 inner tie rods when installing in an E30 or E36

Be sure to measure your control arms to determine if you need 21mm or 23mm. Meyle makes a standard e46 control arm and a Heavy Duty control arm. Most HD arms have a hex that is larger in size (23mm). Lifetime Warranty

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle.

The Powerflex BMW E30 / E36 / E46 / Z3 / Z4 Rear Shock Mount – 10 mm is an advanced suspension upgrade designed to improve the rear shock performance in a wide range of BMW models. By replacing the factory rubber mounts with polyurethane, this mount ensures a more durable and performance-oriented suspension setup.

    Key Features:

    • Multi-Model Compatibility: Specifically designed for BMW E30, E36, E46, Z3, and Z4 models, this 10 mm rear shock mount is a perfect fit for vehicles with rear shocks that feature a 10 mm rod diameter. It offers seamless integration and performance enhancement across these BMW platforms.
    • Polyurethane Construction for Enhanced Durability: Unlike OEM rubber mounts, which are prone to wear and degradation over time, these mounts are crafted from tough polyurethane. This material provides greater resistance to wear, oil, road contaminants, and high temperatures, ensuring a longer-lasting component that maintains its structural integrity.
    • Superior Handling and Control: The stiffer polyurethane reduces the flex and movement that can occur with rubber mounts, providing more direct shock performance. This results in better handling, improved suspension response, and increased stability, particularly during aggressive driving or when cornering.
    • Comfortable Ride Quality: Despite its firmer characteristics, the polyurethane shock mount is designed to absorb road vibrations and noise, ensuring that while your handling improves, you don’t sacrifice the comfort BMWs are known for. It balances performance and comfort, making it suitable for both daily driving and spirited driving.
    • Quick and Easy Installation: Designed as a direct replacement for the stock rear shock mounts, this bushing allows for a straightforward installation process. No additional modifications are required, making it a simple yet effective upgrade for your BMW’s suspension.

This Rear Shock Mount – 10 mm is an ideal upgrade for BMW E30, E36, E46, Z3, and Z4 owners who want to improve their vehicle’s handling performance and suspension durability. The combination of enhanced strength and control with ride comfort makes it an excellent choice for both everyday use and more performance-driven situations, offering a long-lasting solution to rear shock mounting issues.
