BMW E30 M20 Clutch And Flywheel Kit - I/IS from Turner Motorsport offers a premium upgrade for naturally aspirated M20 engines. This comprehensive kit includes a lightweight single-mass flywheel and a Sachs clutch kit, providing a significant performance boost and refreshing the driving experience of early and late-model E30s.
This clutch kit is equipped with a heavy-duty pressure plate optimized for a puck-style disc without cushioning between the linings to ensure short and responsive clutch pedal travel. The puck-style disc reduces rotational mass and drive surface area while increasing the pressure per square inch on the friction material. This setup minimizes inertia, enhancing torque transfer from the engine to the wheels. The friction material, a graphite-impregnated ceramic, is specifically chosen for race applications due to its superior performance in durability, reduced chatter, efficient heat transfer, and high torque capacity.
